Maggie R (kr) wrote: This Scooby-Doo movie is one of their few musicals where they are going on vacation, as the Scooby Gang tend to, and Velma takes them to a Vampire Festival. It touches in on pop culture, poking fun at Twilight, and sort of shows the boom of vampire fascination within our culture. They were playing around with music in this film and in some cases it works, but in others it seemed a little silly. The twist is a usual twist within Scooby-Doo movies, it wasn't all that surprising and I wouldn't call it incredibly creative, but the film has some good details such as the town they visit is called Petite Chauve-Souris Ville (Little Bat Town), and the local politician's surname is Poubelle. It is a cute campy cartoon involving the Scooby gang that is a cute family movie with some great musical numbers and some memorable chacters.

David M (gb) wrote: In the canon of Ken Loach comedies, this is a good entry - though for me it's not quite up there with 2012's 'The Angles' Share'. A postman with a broken marriage is a huge Manchester United fan - he finds himself having conversations with the footballer in his bedroom, and his life starts to take new turns. Funny, appealing, warm-hearted - and with familiar Loach overtones of social issues. The final third doesn't quite gel - but it's a quality film.

Mloy X (fr) wrote: Great cast: Maggie Smith can do no wrong in my book! Judi Dench is always great, she can play a vulnerable character so well. I'm beginning to be a fan of Joan Plowright. The story is cool, I always adore period films. The only thing off was Cher. I like her as an actress but she stood out too much in this film, it was almost distracting. But other than that it was a good movie to watch.

Michael T (kr) wrote: Uneven blend of comedy and horror is not one of director Jackson's best.

Leonard D (us) wrote: The special effects for this film still hold up, but not enough to show potential in Shaq's acting range!

Carlos I (ru) wrote: Some of the dubbing and dialog is really corny, but wow the action is great. It's no wonder Jackie Chan is one of the best.
