(Line from the movie: George-"I can see you've put on some weight since the last time we say each other!" Brad just looks shocked and just shakes his head back and forth! LOL) We need more people like him in this world. Also how cute are him and Brad? You can just feel the love between them. I never knew how bad his childhood was till this movie. I can't imagine how hard it was to grow up in a place surrounded by wire and men with guns. George is the type of person who should be a child's (and adults) role model. Not Miley Cyrus or someone like that. This film is definitely a MUST WATCH!!!

Tracy W (de) wrote: I what i love about this particular Bollywood film and others similiar to that it doesnt have access to an inflated budget like many of its Hollywood counterparts so its important that the performance are believable and that the script equally believable and entertaining. The film is essentially a one woman show carried by the beautiful, talented and more than capable Vidya Balan. A pregnant woman named Vidya Bagchi (who every charactor that meets her keeps screwing her name up and calling her Bidya) returns to India from London in search of her long lost husband. She hasnt seen or spoken to him in some time and is worried for him and the future of their child. She gets help from the local police but nobody has heard or even seen him before. I wont go into much detail of what happens but what i will say is what unfolds is an mystery with many twists and turns that becomes increasingly dangerous as the film progresses. Excellent film, highly recommended viewing.

Donald M (us) wrote: Costumes, history, and multi story lines are all compelling and beautiful. Modern day comparisons to the attacks on the Catholic Church are appropriate. Sometimes murky ethics during a time of war, and the constant need for forgiveness, are great themes. Not the best script, but the sets make up for the poorly developed characters except for Fr. Escriva

Eric H (gb) wrote: This is an exceptional film about the world's oldest profession. It is exceptional, not just as an insight into the emptiness of a whore's life but into the richness of a friendship entered into with kindness. The story is small scale with minor villains and fleeting loving. At no point is it salacious, and yet the film does not flinch from its subject matter.

Jason J (es) wrote: Based on a Japanese manga, this debut from Katsuhito Ishii is a road movie about a young woman on the run from her domineering and perverted uncle who meets up with a young man on the run from the yakuza he's ripped off. The yakuza are the funniest, most outrageous, coolest bunch of baddies I've ever seen. Their dialogue is great, their costumes are incredible and they're all so enjoyable to watch. The uncle also sends someone after the pair on the run, a diminutive little freak who would totally steal the show in any other movie. Here, he just adds to the mix.I can't really describe how much I enjoyed this movie. The great thing about this movie is that it's so over-the-top that you know it's a parody, and it's so much fun that it actually works as a straight "cool lovers on the run movie," and not just a parody of one. In fact, I thought it worked so well that it is now one of my favorite movies of this genre. Simply delightful!
