Aquarian Age

Aquarian Age

aka Aquarian Age: The Movie, is based on the popular Japanese CCG (that's collectable card game, for you gaming neophytes), Aquarian Age. The movie represents the transition between the game's first and second Sagas and seems to have been made primarily for fans of the card game, so familiarity with the basic story and characters is assumed. Those watching the movie without first reading the background info in the included booklet are going to be totally lost about what's going on, as the movie begins right in the middle of the climatic battle which wraps up the first Saga. Though it uses the same organizations as the Aquarian Age TV series, the movie does not seem to be directly related to the TV series in any way. (I cannot absolutely confirm this, however, since I only ever saw the first few episodes of the TV series.)

craig d (jp) wrote: A very powerful and interesting part of history that was deeply moving. The movies follows those who take an amazing risk for peace in Liberia. The movie has some powerful and raw footage that follows an authentic narrative in history. The movie paints a sharp perspective on injustice and those who stand up against it. The documentary has key interviews and historic footage. I was drawn in all the way to the end. This movie was fascinating and inspiring.

Rob P (jp) wrote: This Netflix original was an interesting idea that failed to pay off. Some laughs, but a really cheap budget (there's even a joke about that) and a story that feels made up as it goes along.

Marek P (ca) wrote: This was part of the GhostHouse Underground series. Previously the series and others like it have been fun but flawed. There seemed to really be films which attempted to push the envelope but may have lacked in script,,makeup, acting or something else. A few were actually complete films and a good scare. The series now looks like it's a group of failed releases which were all lumped together to may fools of horror fans. Psych 9 was poorly acted, written and unbelievably boring. nothing rang true and the ending seemed unclear. Rent somethingelse!

Anna B (jp) wrote: A beautiful piece of art.

Charlie 7 (ru) wrote: One of the best sequels out there. This film is unbelievably funny.

Joel H (kr) wrote: It's interesting how the protagonist of Raging Bull is almost completely unlikeable, yet you still want him to succeed. Robert De Niro does a great job of losing himself in the character of Jake LaMotta, and this is before Joe Pesci went full Joe Pesci, which is interesting to see. Plus, Martin Scorsese tells the story in a unique and stylized way. This movie may be a bit overrated, but I definitely feel like it should have won the Best Picture in 1980 instead of Ordinary People.

John M (au) wrote: One of the greatest dramas I've ever seen. It's totally insane, but is one of the best produced movies ever. I'd recommend it to anyone mature enough to handle it.

Jennifer T (nl) wrote: Just as good as "The Exorcist" starring Linda Blair. Well done. Anthony Hopkins was outstanding in "The Rite" and shines the best in the movie.

Rune (es) wrote: A very British french new wave film, classic!

Wolfgang S (ru) wrote: Slightly less awful than BRIDESMAIDS, though that's hardly saying much.
