It started out brilliant but as our group of fearless youngsters descend into the mine so does the film quality. Had it not been for two glorious money shots, especially shotgun to the head. Too bad. Nice premise. Bad direction. They just don't mix.

I'm angry at myself for being so useless on this side of the world while a whole generation of women are being mistreated in the middle east. How can it be that miserable? In the end, I'm left with many thoughts of empathy, regret, and a bit of gratitude. I'm thankful that this movie was made so others can see the social injustice happening in the Taliban controlled parts of the world. Definitely a must-see, although it will break your heart.

(au) wrote: This movie is really really dated. The technology is so old. But I still enjoyed the story. Its about hacker kids who get framed and have to figure out how not to get arrested for it. The ending is so dumb. Big plot hole that never made any sense to me. Angelina sure is young and hot. See it for that alone.

Dusan Makavejev constructs the story of a sexually liberated socialist group intercut with documentary snippets about Wilhelm Reich, as well as other figures of the sexual revolution to put their philosophies in context. The resulting film is something that resembles what would happen if the kids from Godard's La Chinoise read Kinsey instead of Mao. Makavejev manages to make the film very entertaining in spite of its polemic nature, and it's quite funny in some parts. It's also chock full of fascinating notions about sex and politics, and I think this one is gonna require some repeat viewings for me to fully appreciate everything it has to offer.
