Steff A (ru) wrote: Beautiful movie about the stories of troubled people. Well, aren't we all? But these stories are told by a great auteur so these are not ordinary stories in the end. Egoyan weaves his stories as in a spider web and the spider is called "Exotica" the club around which all the characters revolve. In this particular club Egoyan creates an atmosphere of mysticism that captures the viewer from the first minute and a chessboard for all the pawns, represented by his characters, to face off. The characters of the movie are well written on paper but they become amazing when they are fleshed out and portrayed by these actors with the director's guidance. It is a well rounded ensemble cast and an ensemble of characters with real problems and complex psychologies that are revealed throughout the movie. Such a well structured narrative can only be found in Egoyan's next film "The Sweet Hereafter" for which "Exotica" was the best launching point. I love almost every dialogue and the little behaviours of the characters are also worth a good comment. The film also uses music in an effective way smartly contradicting classical with club music. In short this is not one to miss.

Chris Y (us) wrote: Nothing will ever be close to the "Friday" franchise, so I wanna keep comparing these urban movies with that. I like many of the actors / comedians in this movie but seems like they try to hard to be "black". Saggin pants and stupid outfits and lots of the nigger" word.

Matt D (kr) wrote: A film for the moviegoer who's sick and tired of "conflict" or "explanations" or "things happening" in their movies. Greg Robbins has heard your pleas, and damnit, he gave you a film. It's called "C Me Dance". And if you're wondering why it's called "C Me Dance", I assure's totally stupid.

Mary B (nl) wrote: A clever, devious comical chick flick that revolves around the chemistry between Barbara Novak (Rene Zellweger) and Catcher Block (Ewan McGregor) in the early 60's.

Jeffrey B (us) wrote: You can Lasse Halstrom did everything in his power to make this film work. But the acting is kind of boring, the writing is formulic, editing and lame twist failed Lasse Halstrom, and not to mention the source material the story came from is pretty generic. And its disapointing to because Lasse Halstrom is know for being one of the best actors directors of all time who is known for getting the best out of his actors through his humanity.

Graham L (mx) wrote: Bronson's 80s run of depraved and violent shock thrillers culminates in this, the slimiest of them all. The twisted subject matter is not treated with sensitivity, which is going to upset a good deal of people who see it. The movie's also leaden-paced and poorly constructed, with subplots that go nowhere and plenty happening that simply does not make sense. But to see Bronson at this age still rampaging through the baddies (albeit this time being an anti-hero himself) creates an adrenaline rush, and Bronson fans shouldn't miss it.
