I think it would have been helpful if I had realised beforehand that it is a documentary style, slice-of-life piece so I could adjust my expectations of where the story was going.Nonetheless it is a fascinating film that shows us that although human environments and lifestyles may differ dramatically, human love, humour and aspirations are universal.

It isn't really a zombie movie, it's a group of atomic super people. They attack and if you survive their attack but are wounded by them you become one.Hugo Stiglitz is good as the reporter who tries to break the story and save his and his wife's life. There are twists thrown in near the end which to me took away from the movie but it was still interesting.Have to say there is a lot of nudity in this as well which is nice.

Jamie Lee, essentially playing Laurie Strode. She had this character going on, by the early '80s. Actually, a lot better than I expected. Ben Johnson was awesome! Would've preferred more closure at the end. The suspense was real, & there was enough intrigue to keep me interested.
Tor M (ag) wrote: A man desperatly tries to get out of his army duty, claiming to be crazy. Well, he may be, but so is the rest of the situation here. At times the film comes out as disturbing. Still funny and quite weird or surreal at times. Anti-war is a solid message here in all it's satirical presentation.Based on a well known book and my guess is that this is a solid adaptation. It looks swell and the huge budget seem to be well spent. Loads of memorable scenes and beautiful women. Great characters, even if there are a bit too many of them to get to know everyone as good as you want to.A film that's just as impressive as it's solid cast. Welles, Voight, Prentiss, Sheen Sr., Perkins, Newhart, Garfunkel and Arkin among others appear. They all deliver.8.5 out of 10 Captain Major's.
Matthew H (br) wrote: Conspiracy Theory isn't bad when it comes to most of the details, it's when we see the big picture that it becomes sloppy looking and barely pasted together. Roberts and Gibson have less-than-believable chemistry with an even less believable love story. The movie makes it look like Mel Gibson isn't even acting, the actor is just going through everyday life as a crazy, psycho conspiracy theorist.
