Abb J (us) wrote: Best Friends: A hilarious romantic comedy featuring Ryan Reynolds as a lovable high school nerd turned Hollywood record label hotshot who tries to reunite with his crush while stuck in his hometown for the holidays with his ridiculous Britney Spears-ish "star" Anna Faris, who steals the show. It's completely silly but cute and has loads of laughs. B+

Nonya B (es) wrote: I love this movie! It is a beautiful romantic movie and I think beautifully made! I think that you have to be a proper mood for the challenges that the characters face but other wise it is very beautiful! Good acting and good actors!!

Austen S (mx) wrote: The central idea is fascinating to ponder; however, the execution of the movie was lacking.

Ian R (kr) wrote: The beginning and the ends are AWESOME, but the middle bit drags with little to no Kusagi and far too much Lucinda Dickey making out with the harry cop dude. Love the cheese ball ninja lore though!

John W (mx) wrote: Starring Dustin Hoffman and Vanessa Redgrave. Failed exercise in suspense supposes what mystery writer Agatha Christie might have done when she disappeared for eleven days in 1926. Redgrave is Ms. Christie, Hoffman an American journalist in London who tracks her down. The film is worthwhile for their unusual chemistry and for its cinematography, which creates the illusion that we are seeing this story through the mists of time. Future 007 actor Timothy Dalton doesn't leave much of an impression as Christie's husband. Directed by Michael Apted.

Marie Y (nl) wrote: This is without a doubt one of my favorite Jet Li movies. I've watched his films since I was little, but I just really liked the way Jet's character evolves throughout the film, the way he learns more about martial arts and about himself. The fights are choreographed wonderfully, as always, and a compelling performance from Sun Li (love her) certainly didn't hurt, either.

Tina G (es) wrote: It was a good movie. But was Chris McCandless' hatred for his father's arrogance so unbearable that he had to hurt his mother and sister THAT cruelly? Because THAT really was cruel; and yet he is a very appealing character. Badgering an old man to climb to the top of a mountain is the sort of silly thoughtlessness of an adolescent. But I think he showed his manliness when he turned down sex with a beautiful, besotted young girl not just because of her age, but because he was too responsible to risk leaving behind a fatherless child. By the time he realized he wanted a family, love, a mate, children, he was trapped by the raging river and his own starvation and weakness.

Emily J (ag) wrote: Pure class! This is an absolute diamond of a film. The delicate acting, epic backgrounds (somewhere in Canada), exquisitely slow pace, the thoughtful character analysis, the handsome, tattooed hunk ... all packed into an hour and a half of magnificence. The only weakness was the otherwise excellent Tim Roth, who seemed quite wrong in the part.
