Sharon J (us) wrote: This takes a bit of time to on grow on you. I started off giving it 3 stars, then went up to 3.5 as the film progressed, it was the last 20 minutes or so, (such powerful acting, I was sitting there in tears) that made me push it up to 4. 5 stars. No person can watch this film and fail to be moved. The characters are not particularly likeable but they become more so as the film progresses. There are some good moments of comedy. The story follows a group of friends as they go on one final camping trip with their mate who is dying of cancer. Along the way the people they meet teach them some interesting lessons about life and show them the absurdity but also the deep significance of the world and each other. They argue and face up to home truths as they deal with their friend, he will soon have his life taken from him and they have to decide how they are going to live the remainder of theirs. Their lives are put under the microscope as they contemplate the world and life. This film pulls you into it as it develops and it shows the strength of friendship and the ability to overcome hardship together and be strong for one another even when it is very hard. I've tried to convey the moving nature of the ending without giving too much away, watch it, you'll shed tears and then find it stays with you after its finished

Will D (br) wrote: Rubbish acting, although that was kind of dragged downhill with the even more rubbish dialogue. The plot turns out to be pretty poor too, but it kind of gets the suspense/scare thing right.

Tim M (de) wrote: The opening song sums up the intention. Don't expect anything new, Freddy, Candyman and Jason got together to make a satirical movie. Do you need it? No. Do you want it? If you are a horror movie fan you might.

Jordan K (de) wrote: Bushwhacked is one of those embarrassing comedies that doesn't help the main actor if they ever wanted to be in other movies, and Bushwhacked is no fun ride. It's not unbearable, but no laughs from me.A delivery man, Max Grabelski, gets wrapped up in a false murder scheme and steals enough cars to travel to a camp site and is mistaken for a boy scout troop leader. On the run from clumsy FBI officers, Max and a group of kids attempt to make it up a steep mountain in order to make one more delivery. Bushwhacked is a movie that would maybe appeal to me if I was 8. It's got a lot of slapstick and kiddy oriented jokes, but that's usual Daniel Stern stuff. I didn't laugh much at all, maybe except for this one part where Grabelski explains sex to the kids. Otherwise, it's stupid. Humorwise, it would be best to show this to a troop of boy scouts themselves rather than an audience of critics.

Shane D (nl) wrote: I enjoyed seeing this cast working together, even if didn't have the same gravitas that I seemed to remember it having the last time I watched it. Movies relating to the work of firemen are often drenched in sweat and bravado (except for say Roxanne) and this is no exception. Boys will be boys you see. But otherwise, its actually a pretty decent action film from the early 90s - plus "Music by Hans Zimmer" - that's always a bonus.

Jonathan S (ru) wrote: A cute and cuddly comedy that sometimes erupts into awesome action spectacle. Not fantastic but offers some fun distraction.
