I was instantly hooked by the scenarios, the dialogues and the marvellous quirkyness of Melanie Griffith. It wasn't until many years later that I found out that the film was the directorial debut of Antonio Banderas (for those who doesn't know: he is her husband.) Anyways I got this film for Xmas, and told my aunt that we should watch it together because I knew she'd enjoy it. I wasn't wrong, she was instantly hooked by the excellently developed plot. The duality that's presented is absolutely fantastic, the way they managed to compare racism towards the black with women's mistreatment is a part of society that definitely goes together but it is rarely talked about in pairs. Banderas'was incredibly original by putting it together and most of all smart. The cinematography was beautiful, the screenplay was amazing, and the dialogues are a sublime combination of funny and excruciating pain. Shamefully so, this film was absolutely overlooked by crtics, academies and awards.

Luke B (ag) wrote: Men in suits as dinosaurs is simply brilliant. Who needs Jurassic Park when you can have much more cheesy fun with Primal Species. The T-Rex that can only move its stiff neck up and down is also awesome. The dinosaur vision segments are a fantastically cheap way of avoiding any real efforts at film making and the actors shout, spit and take it all very seriously. This is high camp comedy with the added bonus of an army officer who mentions donkeys quite a bit. ???

Anssi V (ag) wrote: Meh... I can see that this is a good movie as far as technicalities go, but I just don't like it's style. There are some extemely good scenes, where you can almost touch the palpable feelings between the two characters - even though both of them just stand there doing nothing - but sometimes the extremely minimalistic dialogue is just annoying. No one talks like that in real life! And yes, I can see that it's a matter of style, but I personally find it frustrating. Plus the whole story is just one big hurrah for entrepreneurship and it's a forced hurrah at that, which I have nothing against, but the subject is shoved at our faces a little bit too much. But yeah, the movie is good. It's shot nicely, the characters are fleshed out well enough and the cinematography could have been worse. It's just that it's a depressing experience, at least for me.

John B (au) wrote: Good list of actors & actresses in this one including my favorite Julia Roberts, but, I just didn't enjoy the harsh storyline at all

Matthew C (ru) wrote: Collateral is a movie about a cab driver who unknowingly takes a hit-man as in his cab, but soon realizes that his life is in danger and must survive the night. Tom Cruise gives a great performance and there is intense action throughout. Overall, a great looking film with excellent direction and terrific performances.

James H (jp) wrote: An intriguing look at the world of health and medical purchasing and the problem of the American Health System. Chris Evans delivers a strong performance and the movie provides enough suspense for those seeking to be entertained.

Shaun L (ru) wrote: I thought the movie was very captivating and a great movie. I enjoyed it greatly. the actor for Pablo does a fantastic performance as a very manipulative, influential person who knows where to poke to pressure and coerce who he needs to to get what he wants. This being said, the storyline is a bit odd. While it gives a very surface glance of Pablo Escobar's reach and reputation in the drug cartel empire, it does not focus on him, and instead focuses on a random Canadian dating his niece who happens to get wrapped up in it all.

Waleed A (br) wrote: interesting movie. very slow at times but also very creepy and tension-filled. good production value for an independent film (1 viewing)SPOILERSthe beginning was intriguing but it took a long time to build up and i started getting a little impatient but the ending paid off. it hit hard when everything went down. we finally know something is wrong, the wine is poisoned, dude starts killing everyone. and then the final scene showing that this is happening and numerous houses in that neighborhood with all the sirens and people screaming. it was pretty crazy
