Zombie S (gb) wrote: This film is bound to dissapoint all Takeshi fans, but that's pretty much what he intended to do. After his surprise hit in Amaerica with Zatoichi he (for reasons best known to himself) decided to kill off his own 'Takeshi' character and more on (or back). It a difficult film to recommend but it does still deliver the goods in small pockets throughout the generally awkward experience.

Andres G (ru) wrote: awesome movie that started the trilogy

Countess N (us) wrote: This movie is two things - tits and gore. Cradle of Fear stars Dani "Cradle of" Filth. In my opinion this movie is his own personal ego trip. Dani looked like he had walked straight off stage and into the movie with one exception........in this movie he was a great deal taller than he is in real life. The storyline went all over the place and at points i felt like i was watching a Direct Line commercial. The best thing about this movie is the title. Having seen Dani perform many times i think its safe to say that he should stick to the singing.

Dustin P (ag) wrote: I rented this when it first came out and hated it. I watched again over a decade later and I still don't like it. Rob Zombie's work is all the same. A bunch of gore, shots of random things with the colors reversed, a bunch of 70's references & music, people with face paint, odd masks, and lots of weird & disturbing imagery. It's not completely terrible, but most of it is basically torture porn.

Thomas T (mx) wrote: Would recommend this to anyone who likes gory, sick horror films.

Mara B (nl) wrote: This is an old movie classic. Don't expect more. The cowboy genre is alive and well in this movie, with over-the-top acting especially from the women. Politically incorrect dialogue in all its glory. Not engrossing, but a fun diversion.

Noname (gb) wrote: A pretty good action / thriller movie with an easygoing / simple story to follow , its one of those movies u just sit back and enjoy the ride. Im glad there were a bunch of good actors like Jean Reno , Matt Dillon and Laurence Fishburne in this flick even tho all of them have made more "quality" movies before. So grab this for some exciting and tired of all the dramas , im glad i did.

Adam R (it) wrote: Very funny with a sweet side. One of my favorite Adam Sandler movies! (First viewing - August 1999 in theaters)

Kim B (ca) wrote: While at first glance the plot seems stupid, the execution was so well done that it makes for an interesting albeit questionable experience. I liked how this film really did delve into the complexities that might arise if this could happen. Also i thought the acting and voice over were superb and well casted. At times this movie is weird and silly, but for most part it does get you thinking about r increasing reliance on tech gadgets and our human relationships now with less and less face to face time-catfish ring a bell?
