Peter Antonijevic had successfully captured the barbarism and true insanity of war. It is a poignant story of the atrocities suffered in Bosnia.

Ryan V (es) wrote: My views on this movie are far from objective. I watched this constantly as a kid and enjoyed the hell out of it, despite how different it was from the cartoon. It's cheesy, action packed, muscular people carried giant weapons around, and stuff blew up. A lot. What more could a kid ask for in the 80s?

I was hoping for more of a Jade-like story line, but ended up with a more comedic take of the neo-film noir genre. The comedy took away from the movie for me. Still, the awesomeness of Fiorentino at work should not be missed.
Jack R (it) wrote: This movie's dazzling cinematography and production design are sadly devalued by most other aspects. Armie Hammer is totally nondescript as the titular character, and Johnny Depp's deadpan eccentricity is increasingly irritating, not to mention his makeup is distractingly silly. "The Lone Ranger" trudges along at a punishingly slow pace with tons of pointless padding, making it hard to believe it actually had two editors. It simultaneously takes itself too seriously to be any fun, and is too tongue-in-cheek to be compelling. Nonetheless I found it consistently watchable, if hardly entertaining, simply due to its splendid period detail, well-choreographed action scenes, and rousing score.
