Rangan R (ag) wrote: Right from the beginning events of the scenes are poorly intensified. It was a one sided narration, that is really a very bad for this kind of sensitive theme. But the prime intention was to bring the Guantanamo Bay detention camp's atrocity on the detainees by the US military. Well, it actually avoids those strong cruelties, and focuses the unusual relationship between a detainee and a woman guard.Limited cast, shot mostly in a single location with the budget of just one million USD, and an ordinary opening, but ended strong. I assumed a lot of things likely to happen while I was watching. Like Amy Cole (Kristen Stewart) was in undercover, to make detainees talk and collect the information. Because she was the only woman around, but as usual like most of the time I was wrong. It was so plain and filled with human emotions.I was strong and confident that they were just torturing the terrorists who deserved it. If you see it from the human perspective that was slightly a over-limit, only if you exclude their crimes. I just felt it was a propaganda to show US in a bad light. That is the reason it will not show terror strikes in the movie that committed by any of the detainee characters, but only the consequences they face.A Hollywood movie specially made to make feel good for the terrorists and those who support it. Okay, I agree, some were innocents. While fishing, a few other marine animals also gets trapped in the net as well, for that I feel sorry what happened to them. But 95% of them were heartless monsters. Everyone will have their own opinion on this film based on their religion, nationality or sympathetic for simply being a human, and everything are fair.6/10

Bryce M (br) wrote: Saw this movie last night, as it was "on demand" and although it didn't receive high marks here I must say this movie was very good/very enjoyable if not believable. The opening sequence sets the stage and it has a interesting twist. Sure it may be predictable but in all honesty what, since the 6th Sense, hasn't been; I actually don't think its that predictable.

R L (ag) wrote: Cannot figure out the charm of his movies. Are Mosher's novels so .... full of awkward, pretentious utterings, seems to try too hard to be deep, stiff, artificial dialogue arising from implausible, unpleasantly unreal eccentric characters?Does Mosher also have his characters mouth the same strange epithet "Christly" as Craven's characters do in both "Rivers Run North" and "Disappearances." I do appreciate the cinematography, and his ability to capture great landscape, but other than that, I find watching Craven's films dull, ponderous and annoying.

Lady D (mx) wrote: A brief review as this was one that just happened to be on TV. David Arquette is one of those Actors (I feel) who is where he is because of his family name and not his talent, thus making him pretty annoying to watch. One of those cute films, with boy, dog and the good looking Mum, well you can work out the rest of the story from that.

sitenoise (ca) wrote: If you ever wanted to visit the steppes of Mongolia but were afraid to ask, this film will take you there. The gorgeous landscapes almost pale in comparison to the beauty of the sheperding family of four, plus grandma, who live in a tent there. Imagine watching a five year old kid help his dad gut a lamb for dinner and finding it moving and gentle rather than creepy and gross. I would have been happier if the film had remained a simple portrait of the family rather than involving a story about the onslaught of civilization. But that story *is* part and parcel of that family's portrait today. Some drunken Russian road builder dude brings some harsh to their mellow, and the film drifts out of focus a bit ... but I guess that's the point. The final shot sees a smokestack instead of an urga rising from the horizon.

Nathan C (ag) wrote: I don't know why it's called grown ups, It should be called Adam Sandler Kevin James Chris Rock David Spade and Rob Schneider's Behaviour. I hate this film because Adam Sandler can't act, Kevin James is getting worse, Chris Rock isn't really funny, Even Robin Williams is funnier than this, Even a kid who talks about farting is funnier than them two. They're That Bad! This is not the worst comedy ever but it was insanely stupid. It's Funny but again, Comedies have bad stories, You might wanna skip it.Score: 3/10
