oy! has the world changed in less than 2 decades!!. . case in point, almost everything that is touted as perversion then is no longer that freaky :P. . . or maybe I saw it way too late. . and I, for one, think that Madonna should keep her clothes on. . . Pretty lame for a story line

I need to see it with my big brother - lol. I need to see this one again to know if it still has that power over me. Witches are not my cup of tea. It is about something believable. This is the only movies that I know of that frightened by big brother who was afraid of nothing. When my brothers and I saw this pic in the early 60's it scared the bagebees out of all of us

ecommended !!. And James Wood is perfect for the role. The acting is good and the special effects are just so campy and classic and there's some nice blood effects in there too. It's a completly strange and pretty though-provocing movie, but it's good. I've noticed that during the late 70's and early 80's, Cronenberg directed and wrote a bunch of horror cult films, but this one really brings us to a whole new level of weirdness

But, alas, it is one of the more forgettable. This could have been one of the most shocking horror films to emerge out of the 70's. It is a decent premise, and one that could have had more promise to it than it ends up having. I have the feeling that the filmmakers behind this movie came up with the film's story, and put it into production too quickly. Devil Times Five is just a silly movie that isn't well thought out. And if the film didn't have such an awkward hurried pace to it, maybe it could have developed them a little better, and I might have felt bad for them when each met their demise. So it was hard to care for these people as they were getting picked off by this group of children. The adults in the film aren't very interesting either. The very first murder in the film probably would have taken about 15-20 seconds in actual time, but it felt like it dragged on forever because of the slow motion. And all of them are done in slow motion, which is a filming technique I hate. No, I don't mean brutal as in so shocking it is hard to watch, but rather that they are just so aggravating that it was hard to care about the scenes. When the children start to kill the adults, the deaths are among the most brutal to get through. But the film never explains what that was all about, or any other moments where the kids got a little weird, so I imagine it was in the film simply because it was weird and would convince us this kid was crazy. The movie has a few moments that made me think these kids were off their rocker, like when David (Leif Garrett) is dressed up in woman's clothing and looking at himself in the mirror. Unfortunately the movie poorly balances these five characters, and doesn't dig deep into their mental illnesses. The movie takes a twist on the old cliche of a bunch of mental institute patients breaking free by making the characters children, rather than adults. So I checked it out to see what it was like. It's a little horror film from the mid-70's, a time period where a lot of great hidden horror gems have emerged from. After some of the ratings I did on Netflix, Sean MacGregor's Devil Times Five came recommended to me. After seeing Eden Lake a while back, I got interested in seeing more films that featured youths terrorizing adults

This is how every action film should be made. the guitar. . . . And Salma Hayek is terrific as well as along with Joaquim de Almeida as Bucho, the man Antonio Banderas is out to track and kill for killing the woman he loved and shooting his hand enabling him from doing the one thing he is passionate about besides shooting up bad guys. Antonio Banderas shows such great star power in this movie and is awesome in the role as the man with the guitar case full of guns. This is a Robert Rodriguez classic. Love this movie

it does have some scary parts, so be careful with the little one watching. the first time I saw it I really thought they were sisters in real life (I was young). the bond Nicole and Sandra have is amazing. I really like it, I watch almost everyone it is on ABC family

If you would like to gain perspective, this was released the same year Sinister came out; it is possible to do horror right on a low budget, all it takes is creativity. which is still not very good. . . This ends up falling around the middle of the pack quality wise as far as Puppet Master standards go. This series has devolved into sexy Nazis and Army sergeants that speak in nothing but military clichs, which does work for the occasional laugh, but not much more than that. Of course, they aren't really given much to do, but at least a small effort was placed. To try and keep things spicy, this introduces 4 new Nazi puppets: In addition to Bombshell and Kamikaze, you also have Blitzkrieg and Weremacht. It follows the same exact formula of saving everything you want to see for the last 10 - 15 minutes. foiled again. . . Once again, I stupidly got my hopes up when I saw that they actually have a puppet kill in the opening scene; maybe they've listened to their audience and decided to give them what they want. I'm probably reading too deeply in to this. . . Kamikaze, however, does manage to speak fluently in Japanese for no reason. Puppets have never been able to talk in these movies (because THAT would be the step that takes it too far), but when called for, people can inexplicably understand their grunts as you would Lassie, or Chewbacca. It's also back to being racially unsound like 9 was, which brings us to the puppet Kamikaze. There's more of an attempt at humor, and you get stuff like puppets named Bombshell, who is essentially a puppet version of the fembot from Austin Powers with pop-out machine guns in the brassiere. Also, this is the first movie not to take itself too seriously. It only took them 23 years to get on that bandwagon. For one thing, this is the first movie that's shot in widescreen (16:9), not in full screen (4:3). I will give this tenth installment credit in that it does feel different from the other 9 movies. The first thing that you notice if you've been keeping up with the series (like I know you have been) is that they've completely recast this thing; what, were big names like Levi Fiehler and Jenna Gallaher busy? Not that it really matters, as the acting in this one is on par with the rest of the series. So instead of another prequel, this picks up right where 9 left off with wannabe soldier Danny (Kip Canyon) being the new puppet master, and forming an impromptu plan to take down the Nazis who are camping out in Chinatown. The final final chapter

. . Maybe the play was better

The final battle is fairly lengthy making it rather fun to watch and the sets are very nice. The monster's designs are fine to me, and I like the beginning pretty good. Maybe the worst in the Heisei Godzilla series, as it has a bit of a cheap feel and boring story
