Jason M (nl) wrote: Excellent movie. The story is very interesting and plays out very well and keeps you guessing until almost the end, where it becomes predictable. Even though the ending was obvious, it was still great, making the movie even better. Directing and acting are well. On the down side, there are too many twists. This makes the story drag, and a bit boring for about 30 minutes, but then it picks up again. Overall, this is an excellent movie and a DVD worth owning. Very good for the suspense/thriller genre.

Dylan D (de) wrote: Embrace of the Vampire doesn't succeed beyond the superficial. It's unquestionably a good-looking movie, but that good look serves a purpose that's never fully realized. There's a good "purity" vs. "impurity" angle at work, but everything surrounding it feels so clich that it never finds much relevance beyond the immediate. Fans of the original will probably enjoy this one well enough, while newcomers might find a little bit of value in the sleek production and straightforward story.

jarrad b (ca) wrote: Had a decent premise for a sequel relating back to the first movie. The action was pretty good and was good enough for a popcorn movie.

Aj V (jp) wrote: Spader is the new Dean in this rebellious teen drama/thriller. I really liked it, and if you're a fan of Spader you'll like it too.

Ben R (br) wrote: Cheesy 80's goodtime horror, complete with giant fake boobs, prosthetic make up and weird plots that make no sense. Sounds bad,but turns out this was a pretty good watch.

Bill T (ru) wrote: Weakest one so far. The gang, or whoever bothered to show up, are longship crew. Mutiny and other hijiinx ensue...or is attempted.

Bruce B (ru) wrote: A 1934 film that was released by Alexander-Stern Productions, It stars Anna May Wong one of the first Chinese actress. About her working with the underground during Chinese vs Japan War. We also have a Englishmen who is a Nazi Spy in this movie. I had a very hard time understanding the audio and at times didn't know if they were talking Chinese or English. The copy I saw was from Alpha Video, who I am losing faith in. This movie is also on the internet to watch for free. 2 Stars

Hunter W (au) wrote: The only film in the franchise that can truly be called "Magical": The Prisoner of Azkaban is beautifully filmed and emotionally compelling under the guiding hand of storyteller Alfonso Cuaron. It is simply the best of the Harry Potter films.
