(ru) wrote: This is the second in a series of three and the least interesting of them. As the films go on, you start simply waiting for everyone to be killed. Jorge was better as a grungy type with long hair and street clothes: he lacks style in rich trappings. The big heist by a beefy, wordless gang is implausibly professional. The gothic theme seems like a strangely misplaced cameo borrowed from Scarface, or possibly the Addams family, and ending up somehow as a spaghetti western. But the moment you see the lovers smiling at each other from their ambulance stretchers, you know that it has lost the drift and the ending of film three is a shaky fantasy. Check the fringe: it's too much. The film is mostly bloody violence as entertainment, full of anti-heroes, yet, even then, the subtitles tone down some of the language, and it ends up wanting to be mainstream. Once again, it will fill in the time, but maybe Scandi crime is getting guilty of just cashing in now.

Justin Y (ca) wrote: I HATE this "movie" . But you should of guess that, you reading a 1/2 star review. Never have I ever watched a movie with so many unlike able characters! It's also gross! Do you expect me to like a movie that makes me want to turn around and never look at the screen until this Monstrosity of film is over? Is it rude I didn't give it 1 star? No, because it sucked. But my gosh is Grayson Russel a good actor! Hey Nick, maybe put him in your TV movies. He'd make it a little less worse. But he couldn't save this one. I can describe wimpy kid with one word: Gross

David L (it) wrote: Waking Sleeping Beauty definitely should have focused more on the films themselves instead of relying so much on the filmmakers and animators, but it is still such an insightful and fascinating look at the Disney Renaissance and a big reminder of how important and great that period was. The movie showcased really well the troubled history of each film as well as the various troubles with the studio executives and animators plus it is a unique documentary that relies entirely on archival instead of new interviews.

Devin M (mx) wrote: Suspenseful and sufficiently disturbing movie about a photo technician, excellently portrayed by Robin Williams, obsessed with a troubled family, whose problems reveal the full extent of his mental sickness. The main selling point of this movie is Williams' masterful depiction of a lonely, middle-aged man whose deep psychological issues drive him to extreme measures. I found myself simultaneously fascinated and frightened by Williams' character, constantly wondering what he would do next and when he would snap. That being said, the plot has some real problems that are not fully resolved in the end, and I did not really feel that there was a whole lot of real substance to the movie beyond the investigation of a troubled mind. Despite these structural problems, a sense of constant suspense and motion was maintained throughout the movie by a thrilling feeling of uncertainty about what he may do next. Robin Williams' captivating and unsettling portrayal of the sick man really made this film. The story was still thrilling and interesting enough to hold my attention, but it did have a few problems with plot continuity and substance that prevented this from being a truly great movie.

Johnny T (ru) wrote: This is pseudo-cynical comedy, however, not social satire. All the sharp corners are smoothed over and what's left is little more than a big screen sitcom. Just when you're about to dismiss Affleck and his over-the-top demeanor, the story starts to click. A movie I thought I was going to hate turned into a nice little treat. But I still can't figure out why they chose to open a Christmas picture two months ahead of the season it celebrates, since, by the end, it becomes a story with real Christmas spirit. For Christmas to be any source of laughs, many audience members will need to move past their fear of Ben Affleck. Yuletide cheer gets a kick in the shins with this funny but forced cinematic Christmas present. There are a few amusing moments, helped by subdued performances from Affleck and Gandolfini, but this is no "Bad Santa" despite its obvious ambition to play similar holiday tricks. As light, fluffy, cockle-warming holiday entertainment, this thing is pretty sweet. VERDICT: "In The Zone" - [Mixed Reaction] These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says buy an ex-rental or a cheap price of the DVD to own. If you consider cinema, ask for people's opinion on the film. (Films that are rated 2.5 or 3 stars)

Calvin W (ru) wrote: Much like actual PTSD, it is more anguish and less interest than you could care to endure. I wish someone could take the bold aesthetic from this movie, and re-write the material.

Peter B (au) wrote: Great Woody Allen film; a quasi-documentary on the life of fictional jazz guitarist Emmet Ray played brilliantly by Sean Penn in one of his very best performances. Samantha Morton is also wonderful as a mute who changes his life, in a very large tribute from Allen to Fellini's La Strada. And any film that uses "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" 3 times is a winner for me.

Vincent G (ru) wrote: Riggs and murtaugh are back in this action movie directed by superman's director richard donner. Intended to be better than the 3rd, lethal weapon its somewhat dissapointing, mostly because of its script and performances, joe pesci is not funny and takes some precious minutes to a more interesting rising star, in his first american appearence, jet li as a serious,cold-blooded, martial arts assasin named 'wah sing ku', perhaps the most interestings scenes of the whole movie came thanks to jet li's presence on screen. The score its always great, always "there" like one of the most iconic 'tools" of the leathal weapon series. A good movie if you want to keep yourself entertained.
