(ca) wrote: really great watch. i love seeing the world from the perspectve of teenagers, esp when told by them when they are adults. everything is washed through their memories, no one knoes what is true, what isn't... it's hard not to get involved in the story and get mesmerized....

Ymmarratte mita tarkoitan, kun saatte kasiinne kyseisen filmin. Mutta... selv sanoma elokuvassa kuitenkin on nhtviss; ihmisten touhut Vli-Amerikassa eivt ole pahemmin muuttuneet yli sadassakaan vuodessa.

The editing is good that it's nice to see these films in this fashion when there wasn't much respect for the genre. There are some that I question being featured here & this isn't a shot @ it because it's an excellent fucking movie is Nighthawks. For some reason it doesn't [email protected]
least for me it didb't. The true find on this is actually Vice Squad. When I had last seen this Vice Squad was one of the few movies that I hadn't seen. Wings Hauser is so brutal in that movie. It's an under appreciated gem
(it) wrote: All right drama thriller. It's got a nice pace and it never feels dragged out for it's length. The story is not that unique and at times I feel that it's nothing special or shocking about the happenings and treatment here. The guy tries to smuggle two keys of hash, you know. From Turkey. Via airplane. Not the smartest move if you ask me.I don't sympathise a whole lot, but it sure got it's moments. Some nastier scenes and some weirder ones spice it up a lot. Another spice are the many cool characters. Quite sure I have heard that song someplace before, at least a sample of it.Boy, those real pictures shows that the casting was quite exceptional - a nice touch! 6.5 out of 10 bad machines.

Still, it is one of the best of the Disney films and I've owned it for years. Immensely touching.

Every week. There's a reason his films are muscular with dramatic conflict, even a sunny outing such as this thoroughly charmed western. What's so great about this film? Gorgeous color, location shooting, a splendid river boat, horses, Jimmy Stewart, Rock Hudson, dear old Henry Morgan playing a bad guy, a glimpse of life as it was in Portland Oregon, scenery, great fight scenes, and we mean great. And a solid story strung along the story of settlers going up river to start a new life. Mann's direction and story-care insures layers and depths, however there is also the down-home flavor of open range cooking about it all. An era of filmmaking about an era of life. Hearty fare.

Hardly believable in any aspects. Lots of the louts would have been offed early on,but then there wouldn't have been a movie. The acting makes it worthwhile.
