Brian H (br) wrote: I really enjoyed this one, but it was hard to categorize. It was basically a griddy cop drama but with Elliott Gould I couldn't help but get a comedic vibe. It's good check it out.

David S (mx) wrote: The film is too long for its subject matter, that of a film director finding his perfect star/love, and the consequences of following his heart (up to a point). It just takes too long for all of it to resolve; it's just too self-indulgent. There's also an filler subplot about the director's brother-in-law and his womanizing.
Jere M (de) wrote: this was a light-hearted and easy movie to watch. I found it very refreshing to watch a comedy that makes you laugh without relying on heavy doses of profanity or inferences to various forms of intoxication and the consequences of such. Bob Hope and Bing Crosby had a solid chemistry between them and the references to other movies while lost on an island were well done. I have not seen any of the other "Road to" movies so I can not comment on how well it compares to the others. But, if you are looking for an easy movie to watch and relax to then check for this one on Netflix and have a nice evening with it.
David L (nl) wrote: It is not as engaging or fast-paced as it should have been and it takes its time to get there, but White Heat is in the end a very good gangster film thanks to phenomenal performance from James Cagney and his character which is nicely developed and always interesting. The film also has exciting car chase sequences, superb ending scene and some memorable lines. All in all, it is flawed, but nonetheless one of the better and most memorable gangster films.
