Eric H (fr) wrote: This is a good film and it really does make you ask the question, " How far would you go for a friend? " That is a tough question and maybe one that none of us could honestly answer until put into the same situation. Let's just hope that it never comes down to that.
Will E (au) wrote: I expected to dislike this movie, probably as another failed action movie, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this film. The acting, not terrific, but passable. Especially the kid. It's really hard to get a child to act the way you want in films, but they managed to find one. Everyone else was fine, nothing worth deducting points from. The plot was surprisingly simple for something that likens itself to the Silence of the Lambs. Unfortunately, this film seems to lack the attention to detail of Lambs, failing to notice and fix some major plot holes or improbabilities/impossibilities. Luckily, the way the scenes were made and presented to the audience, most of the holes and errors can be overlooked, although some stick out like a sore thumb. Surprisingly, I'm going to call this a good movie, pretty enjoyable film for a night you don't feel like thinking. My Rating: 70% Standardised: 50%

He may find those that love him have his best interest at heart and he may need to compromise."How could you kiss that girl?""It was easy."Norman Taurog, director of Boys Town, GI Blues, Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine, Speedway, The Birds and the Bees, Men of Boys Town, and Mad about Music, delivers Blue Hawaii. The storyline for this picture is fairly cheesy, clich, and contains mediocre writing and characters. The acting is average and the cast includes Elvis Presley, Joan Blackman, Angela Lansbury, Roland Winters, and Steve Brodie. "Daddy, are you forgetting yourself?""I'm trying."I recently came across an Elvis marathon on cable and decided to DVR a few pics. This was very cheesy and did not take itself too seriously. The plot just seemed like an excuse to rollout Elvis and his music. He had charisma, but needed a well written film. I'd skip this unless you are a diehard Elvis fan."That dog is just plain stupid."Grade: C
