In the end, underwhelming, but a great ride nonetheless. Wonderful direction and cinematography create an incredibly effective chilling first half, which promises a bit more than the payoffs can deliver in the final act

The film faithfully shows the humanity and mutual respect of the naval commanders on both sides. Three Royal Navy cruisers take on a much more powerful German pocket battleship off the coast of South America in December 1939. An excellent account of of one the first major battles at sea in World War II

While a documentary about a certain font style may not be the most exciting subject, after the film was over I did find myself looking closer at how a where words are written

If I had a child, I'm afraid I may have reacted similarly. However, the ending had a nice surprise twist that I didn't see coming. The editing in the film was horrible and the ending didn't flow all that great. It may be horrible to admit, but I enjoyed it

Surprisingly more serious parts in it than I expected but not too bad

This film is definitely a classic and deserves a good viewing. The talent of Argento resides in his elaboration of he shots and the way he builds up tension in scenes. I really enjoyed the costumes, the sets and locations used in the film. The idea to have a blind man and a little girl as the one leading the investigation with a journalist is very interesting and quite rare in films. Once again the photography / cinematography is very interesting and some of the ideas used in this film for the narrative elements are very cleaver and have been used ever since by many other directors. D sign with this second film a great Giallo film with suspense, beautiful enigmatic women and a memorable score by Ennio Morricone

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Well, I hated the movie. The big reveal in these types of movies determines whether I like it or not. During the movie, I struggled to figure out what was going on, but kinda figured it out at the end
