Born a lower-caste girl in rural India's patriarchal society, "married" at 11, repeatedly raped and brutalized, Phooland Devi finds freedom only as an avenging warrior, the eponymous Bandit Queen. Devi becomes a kind a bloody Robin Hood; this extraordinary biographical film offers both a vivid portrait of a driven woman and a savage critique of the society that made her.

"the film you are about to see is based on true events"; right then and there I thought to myself, "YEP, THIS IS GONNA SUCK!". What an absolute waste of film and time. This is 90 minutes of my life I just WISH that I could get back. Not even the LEAST bit scary, I was either laughing or falling asleep while watching this movie. I asked a Ouija board if I should see the sequel, it said to me, "no. better use of time to watch paint dry."

With the raining coming down in buckets the group is forced to take shelter in a trailer park. The trailers look to be abandoned but they are actually inhabited by the demon versions of the occupants that were died there years before and are seeking revenge on all who cross their paths. "Redneck Zombies From Hell" is what one of the characters calls the demons that roam the trailer park. If you had to sum the movie up in one sentence that would be the best one. Not only do we get redneck zombies but they are stereotypical rednecks. You have the horny cousin, the rockabilly brother obsessed with guns and war, the butcher, the town fatty, and a prostitute. Add in a Asian "massage therapist" for some flare. Once returned from the dead, they all play on their town roles to pick off the incident victims that just happen to stumble into their trailer park. For the first time in all my film fest reviews I'm going to not only talk about the gore but I'm going to start with it. Once the killings start they don't take a break. And with the use of real makeup and effects we get a lot of interesting kills, the highlight is watching one character skinned alive and then stuck in a bathtub sized deep fryer. Decapitations and dismemberments are not in short supply either. The acting is what you except from a low budget film with this type of plot. Its not the greatest and all the cliche characters are played the way they should be. The villains were sadistic and comedic to the point where i kept comparing the Marv character to Otis Firefly from the Rob Zombie films. Since this film is meant to poke a little fun at our friends from those Southern Mobile Communities, it looks like the actors had alot of fun playing the characters. Overall i give the film a B. In terms of low budget campy horror comedy this is perfect. It was probably the most enjoyable film i saw over the entire film fest. Obviously you must be a fan of the genre to really like but i think anyone that has the ability to shut off their brain and just been entertained would like it as well. A low-budget, white trash, thrill ride.
