I don't think the film makers actually bothered to read the tale, or else I would atleast expect them to get the basic facts right. For instance, they completely omitted Lakshman's role; misrepresented Ravana's motives of capturing Sita; wrongly presented the fact as to why Sita didn't leave with Hanuman; etc. This movie is made with a narrow perspective and it seems the writer only meant it to be a work of fiction, to express her personal opinion.

(jp) wrote: Surprisingly decent. On the surface it looks like your average predictable, unoriginal creature-horror, and, in terms of basic plot, it is. However, the dialogue is fresh and funny, and the performances are good.
(de) wrote: The backgrounds swell with a nicely mixed set of colours, but the voice acting and singing can be a bit unbearable, expecially when it comes to the Wickersham Brothers.
(es) wrote: This movie really sucks, and it's inappropriate for children to be exposed to such superstitious nonsense presented as serious subject matter.
(ca) wrote: Look out for a rarity in this if you know Mayall as the 'Rick' type character from The Young Ones. This highly underrated film has Rik as a character far different than his usual persona and makes a very good job of it too. Add Jane Horrocks as the titular character and this movie becomes more than excellent.

(au) wrote: There aren't many things in life that I love more than Sports and Movies. This movie did a decent job of mixing the two. It reminded me of a blast from the oast hockey version of Semi-Pro. It wasn't as funny as Semi-Pro though. It was a decent hockey movie but not my favorite. It may be a little too aged for my liking. The best scene in the movie is the opening scene. So I guess you can say it slowly goes downhill from there. Some of the jokes and fight scenes were funny, but this movie was a half an hour too long. It seemed to drag on a bit. Good for it's time but there are better Hockey movies out now.
(nl) wrote: this wasn't too bad, some of the bad choices of the charters were a bit ridiculous but all in all not a bad little horror movie.
