Both Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick are great comedic actors, but they have no chemistry in this film. Broderick's performance is especially poor, giving a halfhearted effort at best. And, the plot opts to go for cheap laughs and cliches instead of giving any real insight on the modern Christmas of the new millennium. There are a few heartwarming moments, but they're disconnected from the rest of the film. Despite a fine cast and some fun moments, Deck the Halls is an altogether disappointing film.

The hair remains stoic & unremitting atop various showdowns, gunfights, foiled romantic interludes and explosions. Beckett's "Malone Dies" was clearly about the man, but, as this film shows, Malone is merely a toupee.

(nl) wrote: This movie has so many titles. I have a VHS copy and its title is "Madhouse". It was not all that great. It's a thriller, or at least tries to be one. It had one too many twists for its own good. It wants to be something, but there are just too many holes.

(ag) wrote: Considering Darth Seagal's recent slew of DTV movies, this stands head and shoulders above the rest. Fight scenes are excellent considering Seagal's kuato sized belly (Zing!) these days, with only a few laughable moments of obvious stunt doubling. As per usual Seagal himself is a strutting demi-god who doesn't get a scratch on him throughout, up until the bit where a hindu voodoo priest starts spitting blood on a Seagal doll - That is correct, you read that right...a hindu voodoo black magic priest dude. Oh and lets not forget secret messages are now conveyed via the perfect breasts of hot Thai women. Ace film
