Bryan T (br) wrote: If you can go along with the far-fetched but well-realized premise, this might be the best sci-fi action film of the year.
Don S (mx) wrote: This is less of a buddies movie and more of an introduction to Santa Paws and his son, Puppy Paws. Guess Disney started a new franchise based on this. The buddies are here and are all in character; they are kind of woven into the Christmas stuff, but it still rolls pretty well and is entertaining.

Nilufer R (es) wrote: Well, this movie doesn!t give you much but Angelica Huston's performance is worth seeing, I loved her in this movie however, I found the movie somewhat vulgar and mostly average.
Bob T (nl) wrote: Interesting to me that this film about domestic terrorism was released two years before 9/11. Though the plot circumstances seem a bit far fetched, Arlington Road is fairly suspenseful, with a bit of a surprise ending.
William W (es) wrote: This is a strange movie, but I liked it. It is so political, yet covers no political stands and is a serious movie, yet has a good and odd-ball sense of comedy; it's all over the page, but in a good way. It's about a woman that has a child with Stalin; possibly. I liked this movie, but it's odd, but in a good way.
Bea M (de) wrote: amazing movie, with a true drama story, a cruel reality.
Adam R (de) wrote: A typical Woody Allen movie. It has the opening jazz song, the old film references, the characters you can't stand, the mediocre vibe, and everything else you've seen before. (First and only viewing - 12/2/2014)
Tara H (br) wrote: This comedy/adventure set in 1930s China is pretty dire, and nobody comes out of it with much credit. I can see why Madonna was attracted to playing against type (as a missionary.) Her performance is fairly wooden though she does look exceptionally lovely. Period styles always suit her, and it was a complete departure from her image in Desperately Seeking Susan. Unfortunately she didn't have the experience to pull off this role, and wasn't helped by the god-awful script. It's kind of fun to see her with then-husband Sean Penn, but this may be his worst movie.
Ewan R (de) wrote: Sad and ambigious. Only Marlon Brando could deliver a performance relying on such raw emotion. The only flaws being in the scenes between Tom and Jeanne, which are contrived and dull.
John S (ag) wrote: Goyokin is a splendid chanbara classic. The story is compelling (despite feeling familiar), the lead performance by the great Nakadai is brilliant, and the pacing and sense of tension and excitement is great. The action scenes are especially commendable because they feel uniquely realistic. There are great moments that are actual fight scenes instead of the the usual "slaying scenes." It really allows you to appreciate Nakadai's skill and intensity. The score is a bit cheesy and the story hard to follow at times, but overall Goyokin is an easily enjoyable samurai classic.
Morgan S (mx) wrote: Another great movie from Jean Harlow. Sucha shame that she died so young. She was soo talented. I also really enjoyed Franchot Tone in this movie. He was very enjoyable. Perhaps a bit predictable but I like it.
