Dominik G (nl) wrote: Wow, I am astonished at how bad this movie is. I was bored 20 mins in due to the cliches and stagey acting, but then I became riveted to the end by picking out all the negatives as the movie swirled further down the toilet bowl. I am quite forgiving with C Grade movies as long as they are entertaining but the cheap locations, over-simplifications, repetitive editing, etc. wore me down. This is the worst cop movie headlined by a notable actor since Morgan Freeman's "Guilty By Association". SideNote: the DVD contains a featurette entitled "Creating A Convincing Cop Story". Ha!

Prachie N (ca) wrote: Beautiful movie about being trapped, physically and mentally.

Johnny R (fr) wrote: A really fun movie!! Lots of skating which is why skateboarders will absolutely enjoy this film!! It also has some emotional situations!!

Dan H (fr) wrote: A film about the process of getting over your ex. It's real, honest, super cool, and the script sizzles (it's a fantastic script, seriously. The dialogue feels real). Both Jon Favreau and Vimce Vaughn put on superb performances (this is probably Vaughn's best performance, he's perfect as the cool best friend). Definitely a must-see, and a perfect bro film for guys in their twenties.

Gordon S (fr) wrote: A terrific black comedy for about two-thirds of the film, and then the AIRPLANE guys (who also directed this film) go soft and Midler and her hostage takers get along and become nice by film's end. Still worth seeing for DeVito fans and for perhaps Midler's best comedic performance.

Paul D (jp) wrote: Possibly perceived better at the time of its release, it certainly looks dated and tired nowadays. It is a kids film though so a younger audience may get something out of it still. For fans of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing collaborations this provides a tick in a box for one of their more obscure movies together.

Raji K (ca) wrote: The Expendables rounds up a cast of action stars from the 90s era and puts them on a special mercenary squad. The squad features Stallone, Statham and Crews who are sent to an island to take on a corrupt general and rogue CIA operative. The Expendables is just what you expect, some fun action and your typical blockbuster. The movie really does not add much else and does not feature some of the other stars nearly as much as the trailer would have you believe. Like most movies with a popular cast, the film would not be even on the radar if not for the cast.

Brad D (kr) wrote: Streisand is so amazing in what she does regardless. When she sings she reaches depths of emotions with her voice that few can. I feel in myself inwardly. Again this tale is a tale of love and choice and need. And well done by perfectionist Barbara
