Jens S (kr) wrote: Jeff Bridges carries this film with another outstanding performance through all the motels, bars and stadiums. It's refreshing to see a drama bout a man who's past his prime years that doesn't entirely give up on its protagonist and doesn't paint an entirely pessimistic picture. Even with little interest in country music, there is a lesson to learn here: it's never too late for a second chance. But some things will only allow you one. Many images of the film stay with you long after it ended.

Luciano G (us) wrote: As a horror movie, I thought this was interesting, and it was nice to see the wonderful nature in Fiji and Papya New Guinea.......the acting is pretty decent, and the camera work is very nice at times....but if you wanna see a REAL cannibal movie, go get "Cannibal Holocaust" or one of the early 80s movies the italians did.....

Alexander C (kr) wrote: ''You've got about as much chance of getting shit out of a rocking horse!''TOO TRUE!A team-building weekend in the mountains of Eastern Europe goes horribly wrong for the sales division... Danny Dyer: SteveClaudie Blakley: JillSeverance is a film which can't make up it's mind if it's a comedy, a horror or a piss take and rip off of so many other movies.I mean with a plot thats paper thin, it seems to forget certain things completely such as a leg in a fridge and a rocket launcher going wrong, i mean what did the writers do here? Squeeze every idea they had out of their little heads, definitely a sign desperation. It's like Hostel,Saw thats meant to be like The Office but it's a disgusting joke of a decoy, if thats possible. Myself being English I'm meant to appreciate this dribble. I clearly do not. It's when you reach the 2nd half and realize that NONE of the jokes are any good and that you've seen this kind of movie a million times before. You begin to look at your watch, wonder in the kitchen for a snack, then you sit back down and realize the nightmare is still on.This will appeal to football yobs with the intelligence of an ape who are impressed by lameness and crude meandering jokes. Even two blonde's thrown in to goggle at for young male teens on heat who have no time for anything but buying Nuts magazines. This film is a sucker for the male audience.Danny Dyer trying to act is a blessing to watch too. I mean this man does not i repeat does not seem to change in any movies he's in.Stick to Hot Fuzz & Shaun of The Dead which are FUNNY!. Severance is a pile of shit that could sink the UK with it's filth.Plus the ending is so predictably flat. I feel like hiding in a paper bag.Overrated, like the Black Sheep of NZ, a travesty.

Priya K (fr) wrote: The very apt statement by Brian Flanagan sums up my take away from this documentary. "When you feel that you have right on your side, you can do some horrific things"

Jessica H (mx) wrote: Takes a completely wrong approach to the film while giving away too much at the start. It's a complete waste of talent and money.

Therese O (jp) wrote: I really loved this. Because I am nerdy and working my way thru the Criterion Collection, and because, well, let's face it, how much Czech film HAVE you seen, I wanted to view this for the longest time. It finally came in the mail and I really loved it. It's a really simple story played out in a really expert way by some non-expert actors. It really reminded me of Godard's My Life To Live which is one of my favorite films. But, while the latter is very dark, Loves of a Blonde wasn't as pessimistic. I think it's a fascinating look into the sexual mores of the 60s, and I had to laugh during the 'respect yourself' lecture that the girls get in the film because that at least, hasn't changed in 40 years.

Paul D (kr) wrote: Essentially a rehash or rip-off of Godzilla, except the havoc is reaped in London. This is all done decent enough though with a good emphasis on making the monsters look genuine and not just someone in a suit.
