Brandon W (it) wrote: Blood Father is directed by Jean-Franois Richet, and it stars Mel Gibson, Erin Moriarty, and Diego Luna in an action thriller about a missing daughter that need her father's protection despite the fact that he's going through problems also with his personal life. When seeing writers like Peter Craig who co-wrote The Town, and Andrea Berloff who co-wrote Straight Outta Compton, I was very curious to see what it turned out to be, and it was a very fun one. Mel Gibson give one of his best performance in years as he's intimidating while also being caring about her daughter and going Mad Max at the same time. When knowing the premise about the daughter coming back after many years and not become what she would've been, I was really hoping that she's not annoying as it could be easy with this premise, but luckily Erin Moriarty wasn't, and was pleasant to be around Mel Gibson's character as they have great chemistry that you can tell that even though it's been years since they were apart, they are still father and daughter, and that they care about each other. When it does go to the action scenes, they are pretty intense to watch as you want the characters to survive through this and not get chased around. It has a lot of humor, it's smart, and I actually the writing to be really good as it definitely seem like they're having fun of the dialogue. Blood Father is a terrific film that I'm glad to see Mel Gibson in top shape again.

Eytan D (us) wrote: Though "Homefront" is at times entertaining, it's easily one of the more dull Jason Statham action outings. I personally didn't really care about the characters (despite good performances from Statham, Franco, Bosworth and Ryder), and it's easily been-there-done-that territory for a thriller. Sylvester Stallone wrote the script, and though he has proven a good writer/director in the "Rocky" series, he needs to break away from the old-fashioned thriller mold and strive for something new.

Per Gunnar J (br) wrote: What a pile of trash!Lousy special effects, lousy acting, lousy story and a main character that constantly walks around trying to look cool but it actually looks like he has crapped in his pants when he walks.

Alex S (br) wrote: The two leads provide good chemistry but the movie overall isn't actually that funny and too ridden with cliches to be too much more than your average dumb comedy.

Aj V (kr) wrote: This is the best movie about showbiz that I've seen from the 30s, I highly recommend it. Hepburn gives a fantastic performance and so do Rogers and Ball. If you're an actor too, you will be able to sympathize with the characters as I did. It made me laugh, cry, and feel for the characters and myself as well. It really moved me, that is until the ending. There was a scene towards the end where it felt the movie would end, but it keeps going. If the movie would have ended there, it would have been perfect. I still liked this movie anyway, I enjoyed it.
