Daniel T (de) wrote: You know you're watching something special when a good half hour is set inside a dark, barely visible moving van with nothing much happening and yet you find yourself hooked to the screen. For all of its detractors, I thought this film was severely misunderstood. The director's ability to create escalating tension as it builds towards a snowball of terror from just a few set pieces is genius. It is also one of the strongest cinematic indictments of modern-day corruption and of the human capacity to cross the line and do the unthinkable. There's kidnap beatings murder rape dismemberment but it is so much more than a snuff film founded on gimmicks. It wont be easy to shake this out of your head.

Geoff H (de) wrote: Technically better than the first, but not quite as scary. I loved that it had many similarities to 'Aliens'. Good scary fun though.

Bryan W (it) wrote: This was pretty entertaining in a "better than Troma" sort of way. Lot's of nonsense gore...and totally different than the first one. It even has the "bitchy customer" from the movie waiting playing a role. Only watch if you can appreciate VERY tacky horror.

Steve G (ca) wrote: RoboCop 2 starts off to be a somewhat good action movie, then...there are a lot of scenes that are just bad. For Example bad C.G.I, even for 1990, a few plot holes, scenes that make no sense and some bad acting.Nevertheless the action scenes are good. If you are a person like me, who like the first RoboCop movie then I don't recommend seeing the sequel. But if you enjoy 1990's action films then you might enjoy this movie. I will rate this movie a 4 out of 10.

Paul P (ca) wrote: I just love Melville! There is a precision to his films that is unlike anyone else. The way he moves the camera, frames shots, uses silence, casts actors that perfectly embody the characters and story...i love it! Every frame of Army of Shadows is so interesting and necessary that it felt only 60 minutes long by the time it was over. The cold, selfless world of these Resistence fighters is an absorbing experience.
