One of the guys' Uncle Bud, who just wants to meditate and hang out, is being threatened with condemnation of his beach house unless he puts some money into repairs. Jon L (au) wrote: I think this film tried to be deeper than it turned out to be. It was great for some action. It tried to have a lot of suspense, but it didn't execute it as well as it could have.

Stuart K (gb) wrote: Directed by Harold Ramis, who had just come off the critical and financial success of Groundhog Day (1993), he was offered this film based on a short story written by his friend Chris Miller, who he'd written National Lampoon's Animal House (1978) with. This is a good concept for a comedy, but despite a very game lead, parts of it feel a bit forced, and the comedy is forced as well, which is a shame. Los Angeles construction worker Doug Kinney (Michael Keaton) is stretched between his family and work, the latter is taking up too much of his time, and he can't find time for him or his wife Laura (Andie MacDowell). Frustated, he finds help in an unusual answer from Dr. Leeds (Harris Yulin), a maverick scientist who has been working on cloning, and Dr. Leeds makes a perfect clone of Doug. The plan is one does the construction work, one spends time with the family, but misunderstandings get in the way, and nothing is simple. Then, the second clone makes another clone when he finds it's too much hard work being with the family, and then another clone is made to Doug's horror. It's great to see 4 Michael Keaton sharing the screen with one another, taking the twinning effects of Dead Ringers (1988) to a whole new level. But, it suffered from having too many screenwriters, and somethings got lost in the story telling, the staging feels off.

Brent R (it) wrote: Mercedes Ruehl gives one of the best performance of that year. She brings her character to life and steals every scene she's in. A terrific and wonderful little film. (A-)

Andy C (us) wrote: The cast is full of comedians with some of the best timing going around not to mention the perfect set up of a group of misfit actors running amok during the run of a bad stage comedy. A must see.

Hayden L (es) wrote: A fantastic reboot to the Godzilla franchise the director injects new life into the character and adds some great ideas and camera work into the mix. This is how you reboot a franchise!

Gregory W (it) wrote: good action adventure flick but I think I like the sequel better. Ward seems a little stiff in this role, at least til the second pic.

Al M (jp) wrote: Naked You Die is a weird and not ultimately great early giallo from Antonio Marheriti that features little nudity or gore. Still it manages to be funny, somewhat creepy, and a little bizarro.

Matt H (br) wrote: Pretty forgettable, but decent if a little strange movie.

Max M (fr) wrote: Ex-con Steve Lacey (Gene Nelson) is caught between his old and recently escaped cell-mates Doc Penny and Ben Hastings (Ted de Corsia and Charles Buchinsky aka Bronson) who try and strongarm him into a bank job, and the cops, led by tough-as-nails Dt. Lt. Sims (an always great Sterling Hayden), who are hot on the trail of the escapees. This has got to be one of the best film noir pictures I have ever seen and unfortunately is little known. Every thing about this film is right on the money; from the great story and dialogue by Crane Wilbur (working from the story Criminal's Mark by John and Ward Hawkins); to the tough and unflinching violence that explodes and ends before the audience can catch it's breath; to the lean and efficient directorial style of brilliant B filmmaker Andre de Toth (House of Wax, The Stranger Wore a Gun, Day of the Outlaw) who eschewed the studio backlot for actual location footage on the streets, diners, and seedy back alleys of 1950's Los Angeles (and managed to shoot the picture in a scant fourteen days); to the outstanding performances by the entire cast, from the featured players right down to the rough, rugged and worn faces (the best this side of a Sergio Leone film) of the background talent (look for celebrated character actors Dub Taylor and Hank Worden in bit parts). And that is what makes this picture really special. The honesty and reality of these characters. These actors don't just give performances - they fully inhabit their roles thus giving what could have been a cheap, throw-away story a true sense of anxious and terse reality.

Jamie I (de) wrote: Accents away! Sigh! I love the accents of the UK so in this flick Jamie Bell is the winner here. He's not exactly a good guy or a bad guy. In fact it's difficult to tell who is the good guy or the bad guy. Sam Jackson looks weird with his snow white hair. And this movie made me realize how unattractive Hayden Christensen actually is. Yucky. I thought the relationship between David and Mary was wholly underdeveloped and the explanation was thrown at you really quickly. Like "Oh shit, we forgot to do this!" I don't know if I would recommend this.
