Katherine S (us) wrote: Definitely entertaining.... enjoyed watching this thoroughly. Well scripted, the characters are diverse, each one with a different story...Thumbs up.

Tradd R (mx) wrote: Could have been so much better. With an absolutely amazing cast, Andrew Dominik missed the mark with his attempt to compare politics and crime by overlaying Bush and Obama speeches that only distract from the storytelling. So much potential, yet so little payoff. Unfortunate.

Matthew M (nl) wrote: A great homage to the classic age of cinema in both it's look, tone and storyline. Not for everyone, but it's a treat for those who are even remotely interested in classic cinema or film in general. Simply a great film.

Janice B (ca) wrote: Norman Reedus plays a convincing computer geek and he's done it several times too. The setting which is obviously Moscow and is so apt for the plot to be absorbed by the audience. It's dark but light and is not pretentious. Good!

Christopher P (de) wrote: One of the worst horror movies of all time, is way too pretentious and borders on the pathetic. This garbage does not deserve any stars.

Deb S (us) wrote: Ben Affleck plays an uptight stuffy guy about to walk down the aisle with Bridget (Maura Tierney), but on the way to Savannah he runs into the delectable Sarah (Sandra Bullock) and he begins to wonder if he has made the right decision. The charismatic Steve Zahn is underused as Ben`s best man who covers for him upon discovering Ben`s fake marriage. Nevertheless I loved the cinematography, the unique rain scene and the unexpected twist ending. The sunsets were beautiful, raindrops fell like jewels from the sky and there was one scene towards the end where two people are surrounded by a hurricane yet completely unaware of it, lost in their conversation while the wind twists and howls around them. Well guys you know my favorite scene would be the one in the bar where Bullock has to coax Affleck through every move of his bump 'n' grind routine. Unfortunately, it was cut a bit short, as you never see Ben go full monty, which would have brought down the house lol!

Scott A (ca) wrote: While it has a few differences, this film is basically just a rehash of the first film. It even outright copies things from the first film like Murphy singing The Police annoyingly, the end credits song and even the final standoff is pretty much identical. What is lost is all the racist slang the first one had, so that's a good thing. The violence is still bloody and hardcore, and the bad guys do a lot of bad, even if we don't get a whole lot of development there. Divoff makes for a great crazy guy.Murphy is really funny here, but Nolte really does seem to be going through the motions for the most part. The plot is somewhat different, in that Murphy is now a free man and Nolte is being set up and needs his help. The biggest, most insulting, thing about this movie who the reveal of 'The Iceman,' which makes little sense in who it turns out to be.The movie also ends before a few loose ends you really want to see tied up are. But overall it's a smidge better than the original.

Johnny L (es) wrote: It's an older film but explores a concept that would still be a breakthrough today: expression of latent DNA to revert a person to a primitive mind. There are psychedelic themes and lots of weird imagery. The academic dialogue is really brilliant without becoming dry.

Richard R (kr) wrote: The twelfth Bond film, first of five in a row directed by John Glen (Octopussy/A View to a Kill/The Living Daylights/License to Kill). A return to a more realistic spy thriller, "For Your Eyes Only" is one of the best Bond films of them all.A British spy trawler, sinks in Albanian waters with the top-secret ATAC (Automated Targeting Attack Communicator), a device used to transmit orders to nuclear subs. The Soviets are also trying to recover the ATAC, and it's a race to get to the wreck first. Bond's travels take him from Spain, to Cortina d'Ampezzo in Northern Italy, to the waters off of Albania, and then Greece. Along the way he must battle Aris Kristatos (Julian Glover), with the help of Melina Havelock (Carole Bouquet) and smuggler Milos Columbo (Topol).Great acting all the way around, with Glover and Topol giving really good performances. It also has some of the best underwater camera work since "Thunderball" in 1965. Plus, another one of the best theme songs by Sheena Easton.
