Bobby K (fr) wrote: Norwegian Wood is by all accounts a beautiful film, with amazing cinematography, music, and some incredibly strong acting from its undeniably talented cast, which always make it a compelling watch on a sensory level. However, the film has moments where its slower pace makes the picture drag on, and it feels that more than a little of the connective tissue that made the novel this film is based upon a sensation. A well made film ultimately undone by how it tells it's story, I would recommend everyone check it out for themselves to get an opinion.

Lovely historical footage, a good (if bold) soundtrack and a bit self-indulgent- but it works, and that's part of the charm.

Netanya S (nl) wrote: A really unnerving and tender film. I think it's wrongly described as merely a story of young love, it is sincerely jarring considering the current state of the world. There is a sensitivity to this film, it's beautifully directed, hats of to the DOP.
