Mariana A (it) wrote: Kind of cheesy, but I guess it was supposed to be more of a PSA-type thing.

Thomas B (it) wrote: The song at its centre is nice enough but the movie isn't anything new and rarely interesting. Full review later.

Doctor S (it) wrote: Dopey vampire flick offers no scares but a few intentional chuckles and one genuine surprise. Begins with a wholly unnecessary 4-minute backhistory of this particular vampire nest, although I guess they deserve some credit for trying to give their characters some footing, but what's with the little red homunculus dude named Marvin getting so much camera time? Knows not to overstay its welcome at a scant 67 minutes and doesn't take itself seriously, which are two reasons to prefer it over Twilight.

Stan B (mx) wrote: Even though the ending is conventional, All Over the Guy is a very amiable film with very good humor, interesting characters, hot actors, romantic scenes and even emotional resonance and complexities at times.

Allan C (mx) wrote: Weak fourth Trancers films seems more like a cash grab than a real attempt to make a decent film. In this film, Jack Deth lands in the 22nd century where vampires rule a medieval society. Even though it's supposed to be the future, the film mostly takes place around a Romanian castle that was also used in several other Full Moon films. My suspicion is that Full Moon had a deal to film in and around this castle and they wanted to make as many films there as possible, regardless of their quality. The castle does give the film some impressive production value, but the story is just dull and even though Tim Thomerson returns as Jack Deth, he seems more a parody of the character (which was already a bit tongue-in-cheek). More likely though, it's just badly written dialogue that comes off as just ridiculous. The film was directed by X-Files regular director David Nutter, but he sadly can't bring any real suspense or intrigue to tis awful script. This film was made back-to-back with "Trancers 5: Sudden Deth." And according to IMDB, Tim Thomerson is embarrassed by his involvement with this film and part 5.

Jess L (kr) wrote: It was in this film the world first laid eyes on Gene Kelly - and what an introduction it was! Yes, it is a blatant pro war/USA propaganda film - 'what are you doing for the boys?' - the shame bestowed upon Kelly's Harry after intentionally injuring himself to avoid being drafted - the heroic reconciliation after he returns home with a medal - there's no denying the underlying tones here. From the point of view of someone so far removed from WW2, the war and what it involved for Americans is romanticised to the extreme here - but it's still a solid film, with wonderful turns from Kelly and Garland and the happy, romantic ending that makes the rocky trip worthwhile. The title song 'For me and my gal' sang as the pair unite for the first time and reunite in the closing scene, acts as the perfect bookend to a beautiful (and patriotic) story.

Steve G (br) wrote: Very clever, Elvis wolf. Could have been better. But the good elements stand out. Could have been much worse.I agree that the leads weren't exactly leaping off the screen, at me. It's more about the story. It doesn't adhere to werewolf mythos, the way we understand it, now. When it's on track, it's decent viewing. Good drama. Some realism to it.
