Bharatiya

Bharatiya is a story set in a village called "ADNIDE" on the borders of Maharashtra and Karnataka. As part of the fiction, the narrative details the alienation of the village folk from the mainstream because of the lack of amenities. The villagers are brought over for votes by politicians from both sides of the border but when it comes to fulfilling promises or furthering development of the village, the politicians turn a blind eye.

Augustine H (kr) wrote: Andrzej Wajda is always fond of portraying his motherland's important historical moments. Man of Iron is a semi-documentary picturing the Gdansk Shipyard Uprising and the birth of Solidarity Movement led by Lech Walesa. Through flashbacks and references to his previous film, Man of Marble, we are presented the courageous Polish resistance, a precursor to the prominent fall of the Communist experiment. Dealing with the battle between conformity and conscience, Wajda exhibited his patriotism with a hope of a better future in this film.

Senor C (us) wrote: Quentin Tarantino loves this movie so much he pays homage to it in Death Proof. Personally as far as Carploitation movies go I prefer Vanishing Point. Peter Fonda is as cool as always as a race car driver who robs a grocery store so he can obtain his stock car dreams & is hunted across the country while on the run in a Dodge Charger. Susan George is along for the ride. She's fine in role but a bit annoying (maybe it's just her teeth). The Charger is sweet ass & is one of my favorite cars. A heavy influence in the Carploitation genre but not nearly as good as some of the early seasons of The Dukes of Hazzard. Maybe needs to be fleshed out a bit but you really came for the driving. Sorta a jip ending that tries to make tragic heroes out of leading threesome when they aren't even anti-heroes

Jonathan W (au) wrote: Possibly one of the funniest movies ever made. This was the first movie that I quoted lines from - "I couldn't make much sense of that eye chart. It was all funny words like bglmp and gnxl." If that isn't enough, the scene where the sergeant tries to get Andy Griffith drunk is pee-your-pants funny.

Sura T (br) wrote: Easily the most enjoyable, fantastical, women empowering film I've seen in my life. The acting, the characters, lighting, cinematography is all done with purpose. This will be my #1 movie for a long time.
