The setup had some potential but the execution flopped badly. The ending totally stinks. On the other hand, it does show some degree of creativity and some signs of talent. I found the characters and their portrayals reasonably believable. In fact, the entire movie was about as believable as any reality show I have seen --which is no high standard but an apposite one. It also showed the good sense to avoid overdoing the blood and gore and the sudden appearances of the men in ghillie suits was effective if rather stupid. Not worth viewing but Suicide Sawa may have some potential as a horror director.

There was a sense of 12 Monkeys to the movie, which is interesting as they are both Bruce Willis driven. Maybe future Bruce Willis is actually this Bruce Willis?

All religions follow the same story of our flawed mortal beings seeking our own worldly salvation and transcendence only to come up short - shackled by inescapable limitations of our mortality. All is not lost, however, as there is a message of hope. "Death is the path to Awe." It is only because of death that we can truly be in awe of life itself, and find grace in our existence, however flawed it might be.

Simple, then you throw in the Nephilim, the offspring of an angel and a mortal, and you have a complex story. I wouldn't classify this as a horror movie though. It is more of a mild thriller. Walken is well cast, and Beals did a decent job. Brittany Murphy, one of my favorites, nailed her performance.
