Dwain P (it) wrote: "Samurai Princess" trades on an interesting premise: a mad scientist obsesed with reanimating the dead creates Mecha technology, a fusion of corpse and machine. There's one small glitch: the Mechas eventually go insane and slaughter humans to create grotesque body-part art and human modification. Our protagonist, the Samurai Princess, is the lone survivor of a Mecha assault in which 11 of her friends are raped and killed. She vows her revenge and, through movie magic, is turned into a Mecha with the souls of her 11 friends inside of her, all of them seeking revenge. The premise's potential is quickly squandered through a series of unnecessary digressions, the introduction of a wholly uninteresting male love interest and the film's overall amateurish quality. This is, unfortunately, not Tokyo Shock at its finest.
