Robert H (fr) wrote: Scourge treads on ground we've seen before in films like Species or even the Faculty so it's nothing new. The gore is ok and I did like the way they did up the bloodshot eyes. Dialogue was poorly written so the actors, no matter how talented they might actually be, had nothing to work with and thus come off extremely amateur. My biggest beef has to come with the leaps and bounds of the logic used to figure out what's going on in the film. I have no idea how characters are jumping from conclusion to conclusion without really having any solid reasoning for it. I wasn't expecting much from the film so having now seen it, I will say that it met or slightly exceeded my expectations.
Philip N (jp) wrote: This film had potential from the trailer like most films. The special effects are good but you are not wowed by them. Compared to the first film it looks like it was cheaply made but they gave it a try with their budget. The story is just a bit pants.
Michael M (jp) wrote: A funny and interesting take on the mid-life crisis that loses a little steam at the end.

Zachary R (br) wrote: This movie I thought was better at least story mystery wise than the first. The second movie serves as more a freakish thriller than the first. Once again the acting seems a little cheesy but other than that it was a decent good film nontheless. 9 out of 10.
Rolf R (au) wrote: This is one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen! Written and directed by Edoardo Ponti, whose mother, the great Sophia Loren, is one of the lead characters (Loren's character is married to a real a-hole). The stories aren't quite intertwined (until the end) but it all works smoothly and is very moving. And French actor Gerard Depardieu has a small role of a character who is quite helpful to Loren's.

Just watch this movie and be for once in Brooklyn. It's a little different than the movie "Smoke", which had a script, but great afterall.

Melissa R (au) wrote: I made it a point to watch every movie that is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture.... the 1st. year I started was 1983 and the Best Picture was Terms of Endearment, and now in 2014, It is still my favorite movie. I was elated when The Evening Star, a sequel that focuses on Emma's 3 children who Aurora raised after Emma's death from Cancer. . sequels can be damaging to the original back then... but this one gives closure and resolve to Aurora Greenway and to the fans of these 2 amazing movies..
