Ruben A (ag) wrote: this takes bad movie sequels to a new level. though the one before this wasnt very good it had atmosphere & great effects. this one ohh this one is just stupid. extremely predictable, very badly acted, just a mess from start to finish. the setting isnt even the same place wtf? & even worse, it says there was only one survivor. im sorry only an idiot would believe that. there was two.& y never mention the black guy who survived? & it features the worst death effect ive ever seen. a girl gets her faced sliced off by the doctor. all u c is him pull out his scalpo, make a buncha random cuts (slightly off screen) u then see the girls face slowly fall of in one piece.really dont even bother with this
Tom H (ag) wrote: It is a good sign when the tree first films are equally good. Makes me want to buy the rest.
Private U (es) wrote: It's a weird film about some mum, who's older son or sons (haven't seen all of it) turn out to be gay, but she wants her younger son to be straight, so she brings over this French girl. She's quite good in it, she plays in a sense this magical character.
Private U (de) wrote: It is such a shame this film is dropping from our cultural memory, like a sisters ex boyfriend you don't see anymore. A film that should be mentioned in the same breath as the mission or perhaps the last of the mohicans. The acting is good, the story told however is fascinating not only on the face of it, the opening up of the dark continent, but deeper in terms of the Speke/Burton relationship. I just think its a shame we need to get our fix of adventure from fictional characters when it seems in reality our historical heroes are far more interesting. Kudos too goes to Rafelson for capturing some of the natural beauty that is the essence of Africa. If you liked Lawrence of Arabia this will not disappoint.
Roger R (au) wrote: This film is about gratuitous soft core female nudity. The plot and acting are slightly better than the average porno, but if you like seeing bad gals in the shower its great
Rosa A (ru) wrote: Come on. I mean, real life serial killers? Though, if I had been one of them I would have killed a load more people. Splody.
Robin W (ca) wrote: Women-in-prison films were a dime a dozen in the seventies and early eighties and, without exception, they were generally awful; they all followed a specific formula and their entertainment value depended on how sleazy and over-the-top they were willing to go. "Chained Heat" is definitely one of the most famous examples of the women-in-prison genre and has an excellent B-movie cast; Henry Silva and John Vernon (as a warden with a jacuzzi in his office!) are fun sleazebag villains while Linda Blair and Sybil Danning get plenty of chances to display their wares for their fans. Despite that, however, this is nowhere near as entertaining as it should be, as slow pacing, sloppy plotting, and technical ineptitude pretty much kill it. The most fun the viewer will have is laughing at the constant appearances of the boom mike dropping down into the frame, of which this film must set some of record!
Settimio P (kr) wrote: I have mixed feelings about this film. I found it hard to watch at times, but very moved at others. The depiction of the city and the characters seemed rich and heartfelt but I would have appreciated a little more of the surreal sense of humour I got accustomed to in his later features.
Christopher F (au) wrote: This movie might as well be zombie 3. it borrows a lot from zombi 2. Even the the star ian muculloch. Even some shots in this movie were lifted from zombi 2 like the church burning down. But overall its pretty entertaining and i do recommend it.
Natalie S (br) wrote: Oh My Gosh! I loved it but hated it at the same time!!!
Holly T (gb) wrote: Really lovely film. Al P is so good. Def the best I've seen him in sooooo long. Acting is brill. Slight cheese in places but overall very good. Lots of emotion.
