Dann M (ru) wrote: The stupidity continues as the comedy goes old school in the prequel Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. Set in their carefree high school days in 1986, Harry and Lloyd become the unwitting pawns of a corrupt principle who's attempting to embezzle state funds by creating a fake "Special Needs" class. Featuring Eric Christian Olsen, Rachel Nichols, Eugene Levy, and Shia LaBeouf, the casting is pretty good; Olsen in particular does a great job at emulating Jim Carrey's performance from the original. And the comedy is well-written, staying true to the first film and offering several homages. Still, the film tries a little too hard to be like the original and doesn't quite have the same spirit. Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd is fun and entertaining, but it plays things kind of safe and sticks to a standard high school comedy formula.

Brad S (de) wrote: It's rather dated and the script isn't great, but it's worth watching for Bacall and Monroe. Bacall has a great throwaway joke about "old what's his name from African Queen". Worth a watch for fans of the actors, or classic cinema in general.
Jason M (au) wrote: Ridley Scott is the most inconsistent and overrated director in cinema. He typically creates masterpieces or weak efforts. However, he has made a number of great movies and this is one of them. His great films include Blade Runner, Alien, Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. His weaker efforts include Prometheus, 1492 and Black Hawk Down.Kingdom Of Heaven could have been one of the greatest epics in cinema. However, it is missing a certain element of depth that is present in Gladiator. Orlando Bloom is fine, but lacks the strong lead capability that Russell Crowe brought to Gladiator. Ed Norton's character of the leper king is the stuff of legend, and largely establishes the overall film's "epic" feel. Recommended viewing for history buffs as an account of the 12th century Crusades.

Jack L (fr) wrote: Mini Review 1 - Kiss the GirlsPlot: This cinematic adaptation of James Patterson's best selling novel by the same name rotates around a serial killer kidnapping girls. Forensic psychologist and Washington D.C. detective Alex Cross (Morgan Freeman) teams up with medical intern Kate McTiernan (Ashley Judd) in his hunt for the elusive serial killer who is kind of a niche collector of women at the same time. Kate being the only escapee from the killer's clutches sets the motto for her urge to hunt him down while Alex has both personal and professional reasons to back him up.Positives:-> Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman's performances-> Great background music--> Near spine chilling suspense moments and--> Plot line already set by a best selling thriller novelNegatives:--> Not an exact re-enactment of the book and--> Twitched story play on screen
