Tim M (ru) wrote: The fourth film catches up with the reporter from the first movie and gets into The Last Ship territory. With no body cams and plenty of CCTV, the found footage aspect is more like Five Nights at Freddy's than REC. The original news report is integral to the story and is played to remind the viewer. Zombies on a ship, locking doors used to great effect. Beautiful tribute to Zombie Holocaust with the boat motor.

Shawn W (br) wrote: A cop finds the puzzle box in an investigation of a grisly death. This one could have been pretty good but is dragged down by an endless series of hallucinations by the main character, a theme that has plagued several entries in the series.
Carol A (kr) wrote: I couldn't figure out why I wanted to watch this movie over and over and yes, over. Sure, the writing is authentic, the casting perfection, direction amazing and of course the story is compelling in its theme but what it finally comes down to is that it's just so visually beautiful. It's a work of art that I never get tired of viewing. The scene in the bar with the yellow flowering bush in the background, the sunlight and warm colors and the camera work from inside the doorways... I could go on and on and that's why I never tire of watching this movie. And yes, Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott and the rest are all amazing to see and hear. I place this movie in my top 10 for all the right reasons a movie should be in someones top 10.

Senor C (es) wrote: The greatest problem w/ Fuzz is that it isn't funny enough to be a comedy & it isn't dramatic enough to be a drama. It's sorta like MASH (& that comparison had been made by Roger Ebert too but I was thinking that before I read his review). W/ MASH it works; here it doesn't. A good cast here though w/ Burt Reynolds, Tom Skerritt, Yul Brynner & Raquel Welch but the script is thin & wraps itself up a bit too conveniently. For me it didn't wash but the entire project isn't a loss. It is watchable mostly for those involved but as Bynner said when he was calling in his extortion they're all pretty inept. None of their cases are solved by good investigation just dumb luck. Would have made a good spin off TV show though but that just goes to show you it's not strong enough for a feature film
Regina P (au) wrote: OMG. What the effery was that? Not only is this the worst Spike Lee movie ever made... I'm thinking this might be the one worst movies ever made in the history of movie-dom. This is beyond Adam Sandler/Pauly Shore terrible. It was the worst, most degrading, most vulgar, cartoonish, outlandish, divorced-from-reality buffoonery ever to grace the silver screen. Epic levels of terrible-ness. I am still trying to figure how Spike Lee convinced the elegant Angela Bassett to participate in this clown show.
