THE BLACK SABBATH STORY VOLUME 1 traces the roots and origins of BLACK SABBATH on an album by album basis and features rare performance footage including N.I.B. Paranoid, and War Pigs. Watch Ozzy and company slay the 300,000 plus crowd at California Jam 1974 with a blistering rendition of Children of the Grave. BLACK SABBATH is a highly visual band and one of the earliest metal groups to experiment with promotional videos. Their hilarious video for Sabbath Bloody Sabbath captures the spirit of similar videos put out by THE BEATLES. There are a couple of other songs here captured live from the NEVER SAY DIE tour including Snowblind, Symptom of the Universe, and Rock n Roll Doctor. All of these performances are professionally shot and Warner Bros. shows them uncut and without narration. THE BLACK SABBATH STORY VOLUME 1 covers all the bases of the Ozzy years. . Steven H (nl) wrote: Adrian Brodys finest movie. Although, harshly trounced by the critics this is marvel of acting. An emotional albeit dismal look at the American school system is a must see.
Al S (mx) wrote: A heart-wrenching and deeply absorbing movie. It`s the best film of its kind since Crazy Heart. A powerful and emotionally gripping film that just tugs on your heart. Abigail Breslin and Alessandro Nivola gives outstanding performances. Breslin is truly heart breaking and brilliant. Nivola is magnificent. A tremendous surprise to watch. A wonderfully written and exceptionally crafted work.

Alexander C (mx) wrote: Well another vampire film, another very corny belava. A sequel which follows Dracula 2000 and has no point in its making other than to be a average follow up. Jason Scott Lee looks out of place in this as a priest/vampire slayer. Was bemused that vampires have to count bits of sand or dirt and the whole knot thing. The fight scenes seem disjointed and irregular. Was bemused at one beheading and another guy getting his face ripped off only to come back to life resulting him getting a bottle of holy water in his trap. Has an ending which has an anti-heroistic tone and allows Wes Craven the option of following it up,would perhaps be better to start afresh.

Luis G (fr) wrote: Educating Rita is a great character study film that involves a typical role reversal and its a simple but charming sensation. Its an inspiration film that teaches anyone could become anything through Julie waters performance and her character determination to become educated. I think what really pulls this together is the Michael Caine and Julie Walters tete a tete dialogue in Michael's office. I could have quite easily enjoyed the entire film set in this scenario.Everything else about this film is great and I think that the acting is really outstanding, the major thing is that its relatable to anyone. Even if you couldn't think of anything worse than reading about chekov or watching Macbeth! It is also a nice sentiment to a teacher student relationship that features two characters with their own problems and yet solve their problems through each others help. What I think is the main problem is that there doesn't need to be the extra amount of pointless student characters and other unnecessary teacher characters. There were a few too many characters that didn't anything to the plot and only served to make this seem less like a play.Though a minor point, I think this film is great!

Mario M (gb) wrote: Not sure how this ended in my queue. Quite a disturbing movie. It's 2001 meets rosemary's baby.
Jose Miguel G (mx) wrote: From start to finish, a cleverly writen and splendid directed romantic comedy that takes the best of the genre and mokes from the same, not to mention Woody Allen and Diane Keaton's astonishing performances.
Sean P (fr) wrote: A lot better than I expected from the trailer, but I didn't expect much. The teacher was annoying, but otherwise it was funny. Some of the plot points were simply stated, not shown, but that kept the movie going.
Kevin M (ca) wrote: As bad as the first was, this one manages to out do it at every turn. Worse plot, worse acting, and totally laughable CGI

Timothy S (ru) wrote: The world definitely did not need another war flick, no matter what conflict they are set in, but "Windtalkers" had an unusual story to tell that should have set it apart. Not much was known about the Navajo Code Talkers who helped secure an unbreakable means of communication for soldiers during World War II, and frankly, their story deserved a better treatment than this silly, melodramatic movie. In fact, the American Indian's unique life-savinf device only comes into play three times during this two and a half hour film. The rest of this disappointing picture is filled with ridiculous war movie cliches and far-too-many poorly filmed battle sequences. John Woo is a terrific action film director, but this should have been a much more serious rumination on the horrors of war and the bravery of these newly appointed soldiers. Instead Woo draws on his action film background. The battle scenes are bloody but have no emotional impact, and the overuse of slow motion that plagued the filmmaker's earlier films are even more distressing here. These scenes would feel more at home in a Chuck Norris "Missing in Action" picture that a serious drama. As an actor, Nicolas Cage runs the gamut from great performances to just plain silly ones, and unfortunately, he does not give a great performance here. It's embarrassingly overwrought and borderline amusing. "Windtalkers" had an original story to tell, but what we actually get is far more conventional. These heroes deserved better.
Pebbles C (ca) wrote: This movie was desperately trying to be a modern 'When Harry met Sally' but failed miserably. The sex scenes just looked awkward and silly.
