Eamon M (kr) wrote: A sequel that mostly ignores the original. It's better than it's reputation but that's not saying alot. As a stand alone movie it's pretty fun with some good monster effects.

Michael G (de) wrote: From a story standpoint this is not noir, but it sure as hell looks like it. Ricardo Montalban and George Murphy go undercover to stop an illegal alien ring. Mann's direction is fantastic and is the perfect setup to the westerns he'd later make. Border Incident is pretty violent (the tractor scene alone was pretty frightening--and I've seen The Terminal!!) by even today's standards. My only concern is with the film's social and political relevance that a remake can't be too far behind.

Colby H (au) wrote: Everyone knows the backstory of batman, so should I even bother saying the plot? Batman Begins till this day, is still regarded as one of the best superhero origin stories to be released. It is without a doubt in the top 5. It stars Christian Bale, and is the first installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. When this was released, it took a refreshing look on the caped crusader, after Joel Schumahcer's take on the character. We all know how that went, unfortunately. Christian Bale's performance as Batman is by far the best in the franchise, and was a good start for the trilogy. Bruce Wane, travels to the east where Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson) teaches him martial arts so Wayne can help with the downfall of Gotham City. Involving an antagonist from the comics named Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy). This film was remarkable compared to some other Batman movies, and was a proper introduction to the trilogy.Over all, Batman Begins was a very well-developed superhero origin story, and a good movie on it's own. 4/5 stars
