This truly belongs within a cinema screening as much as a loose fully grown tiger belongs in a busy shopping centre. The plot here is lame and unoriginal, the monster/alien is largely an actual practical effect, not a badly formed CGI creature, but it's on screen far too little, as way too much of the focus is on the dull characters and their TV soap likened side-plot. This isn't good enough to be worth a look for anyone, but the fact that this ever saw the inside of a multiplex is borderline criminal.

(nl) wrote: Who decided to crap on a perfectly good movie? Let's talk plot. Even though it is based off of the Disney classic, the creators of this movie had the ability to screw it up so bad it would make you cringe. Let's talk CGI. It sucks. I'm glad I never see this movie on TV or in my local Blockbuster anymore.

(ag) wrote: Aside from the expertly portrayed performances of Jean Gabin and Alain Delon, this film seems to be a disjointed collision of well-done, but separately constructed genre pieces holding onto each other via weak transitions. Only at the film's brilliant, and virtually silent, conclusion can the spectator realize the cohesiveness of this A-grade crime story.

(gb) wrote: It becomes very well developed, but overall, it's kind of a boring mystery and drama.
