Ian K (it) wrote: Just finished this... an amazing concert picture with a deeper story to tell about the power of music over dwindling friendships, and the inevitability of change. They were / are truly a unique band, and their like will never be seen again - Shane Meadows celebrates this perfectly.
Peter P (fr) wrote: Beautiful look at a relationship that is founded in music and dies due to life on the road. If you loved Once and the music of Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova then you will probably love this too, although it is a little sad that they could not stay together, but their music is just incredible.

Daniel S (it) wrote: This may very well be the series' rock bottom. Or at least, it was until the 2011 pseudo-sequel that was filmed in two weeks, but let's just pretend that didn't happen.
Shane D (mx) wrote: Initially this film starts out being cute and odd. You get the impression its going to be a cheeky and possibly funny look at the career of the adult entertainment industry, you even get the occasional glimpse into Jeremy's sense of humour. But then, slowly, once the titillation of the whole thing wears off, you are left with constant mutterings of Jeremy's desperation and sadness. Its kind of a bummer. Plus it doesn't help that they continually interview douchebags throughout the film pronouncing Jeremy's legend status...overall...a limp affair. Yes. Pun intended.
Monica I (fr) wrote: The Godfather is a must-see, so they say. I agree with that statement to a certain extent; since I saw Witness to the Mob, I'm certainly one of those who actually disputes that The Godfather is the greatest of all mob movies. Being based upon the real story about John Gotti, Witness to the Mob exposes the Cosa Nostra in New York to detail, but unfortuntaly depicts John Gotti as a folk hero rather than a merciless murderer and racketeer. Anyone who has read Selwyn Raab's best-seller Five Families would agree with me. Both John Gotti and Salvatore Gravano look like naughty criminals in this movie, but in reality they were the worst of the worst and that's exactly what this movie fails to expose. The acting is great; story could have been more according to what the situation with Gotti and Gravano was really like back then. I also missed details about Gotti's brothers whereas I wasn't really interested in Gravano's assumed marriage problems.
