There are some powerful scenes, which are only possible because animated children can be made to do and say things that no director would have the balls to show in a live action movie. It is also an uncomfortably honest look at our society's dark side. This kind of thing, and much more horrible, goes on in reality every day. Although there is some nice retribution moments, ultimately I was disappointed with the movie. It is just way too confusing because of its variying narrative methods. It feels to me like it's yelling: "look at me, I'm something original! Do I look different or what?" It is that, but it is also not that good.
