Meghraj B (fr) wrote: I'm impressed by the story originally by Ahmet Zappa and also the directors, writers and most importantly CJ Adams. A wonderful kid with such a great sense of emotions and displaying the feelings, pain and sacrifice of Timothy Green. The film touched me right into the heart. I appreciate the dramatization of the parents by Jennifer Garden and Joel Edgerton. However, there is a lack of something in the role of the parents and seemed incomplete to me. Odeya Rush did a very good job of a teenage girl who understands the abnormality or rather the gift of god to the special ones. I thought she would be a bully but turned out to be a sweet soft girl. It really made me cry when Timothy told Joni that he's going far away from her and she couldn't believe it. Spending time with someone so much and when you know you're loosing the, it is a great deal of pain. It was a great movie and i would never watch it again in my life because i will remember each and every part of it. And i would only see it again when i have a child of my own and tell them "'Look son, that's the kind of movies which were made back then!'' I give this movie a 4 out of 5 rating. I would have given 5 stars but one star goes away for the lack of complete script and lack of showing the character the way it supposed to have been. A kudos to each and every person who worked hard to make this film so wonderful.

Kieran T (us) wrote: couldnt get into it, and for a movie that stars Elias Koteas and Marie Josee Croze, thats not a good sign.

Rosco B (fr) wrote: I got this on a Chuck Norris VHS double bill with the slightly superior "Code of Silence". The stock "lone cop versus crimelord and his private army" storyline involves much meddling with Chuck's family, friends and pet wolf (foolish moves!) and builds up to the inevitable final fight, pitting Norris (jeans, vest and headband) versus David ("Kung Fu") Carradine (beige slacks and a diabolical golf sweater). This ticks all the genre convention boxes with aplomb, especially with regards to the baddie's midget sidekick and some great 'captain-harrassed by-hotheaded-maverick' scenes (take a bow, R.G. Armstrong) to rate with the best of 'em. Chuck not only drives out of an early grave with the aid of only a truck and a cold beer, but spins around with an Uzi at one point and kills all the petty villains in a 360 degree radius. Boom, baby!

"Count Yorga, Vampire", is a drive-in flick. It's one of those movies that you can talk, drink, smoke pot, and make-out through and still be able to tell your parents what the plot was about.God bless ya Yorga!
