Bob Roberts

Mock documentary about an upstart candidate for the U.S. Senate written and directed by actor Tim Robbins. Bob Roberts is a folksinger with a difference: He offers tunes that protest welfare chiselers, liberal whining, and the like. As the filmmakers follow his campaign, Robbins gives needle-sharp insight into the way candidates manipulate the media.

A right-wing folksinger becomes a corrupt politician and runs a crooked election campaign. Only one independent muck-raking reporter is trying to stop him. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

James H (ru) wrote: Just because of the rotten tomatoes rating doesn't mean you should get the impression that this is a terrible movie. You can probably enjoy it the one time but if you analyse it the villains are incredibly incompetent (when you consider that an overweight security guard took out all of them). It is also very predictable because of how the movie follows the plot of Die Hard very closely, (you'll understand what I mean if you've seen Die Hard 1 and 2). I found the movie very boring up until the part where the mall gets taken over. Then I found it harmlessly silly and very fun, I liked Kevin James in this along with most of the cast. A decent one time watch.

Dean W (ca) wrote: Didn't thrill like the original, but Jon Scott Taylor gives a great performance as a coming of age Satan, some great deaths but one scene with a crow attack by the roadside is badly done. Overall great story and plotting.

Alex A (us) wrote: Seen most of this. Rather liked it a lot. Got the legend Gary Cooper in it.

Rickey M (us) wrote: An all star cast, but movie fails to use them to live up to what this ensemble could be. Still a decent holiday film.

Gimly M (mx) wrote: Johnny English Reborn takes what we got from the first film and then firmly places an even better cast into an even worse movie.

Matt G (ca) wrote: It's refreshing to see a children's film that not only passes the Bechdel test, but does so with flying colors. Whitman and her co-stars bring humanity and life to characters who could've been completely boring. On top of that, Tinkerbell is a decently animated little Disney video that, though pretty slight and ordinary, is also super cute and funny. Anyone with small children could do much, much worse...A nice little surprise.
