Film C (gb) wrote: Fantastic cast, acted well by some of the greatest Actors of our time , A superb British cast and i found the language to be highly amusing and found John Hurt to be refreshing as i have never seen a character like that from him! That said i cant have any positive comment regarding the film, you hope so much that its going somewhere and that this couldnt possibly be the sole engine of the movie, unfortunately it was it and your left disappointed and wanting the hour and a half of your life back! Great cast, shame about the storyline!

Robert L (ca) wrote: Wonderful new take on the zombie genre. It's Pleasantville mashed up with Night of the Living Dead. Domesticated zombies working in suburbia. What could possibly go wrong?

Troy K (au) wrote: Re-watched it recently (directors cut). Damd good movie, but I still hate the ending.

Patrick K (jp) wrote: Pretty cool film and although not the best film Li and Statham have done together it was still entertaining. Jet Li plays a guy who discovers if he goes to different universes and kills the version of himself that lives in that moment he becomes more powerful. Farfetched I know but there are some pretty sweet action scenes especially the end fight between good Li and bad Li.

Ola G (de) wrote: Brooklyn NYPD cop Gino Felino receives a phone call alerting him that his best friend Bobby Lupo has been shot dead in broad daylight on 18th Avenue in front of his wife Laurie Lupo and his two kids by drug kingpin Richie Madano (William Forsythe), who has been Gino and Bobby's enemy since childhood. As Gino is hunting Madano down, Gino discovers the motive behind Bobby's murder. This is when Gino's hunt for Madano leads to the showdown of a lifetime...I havent re-seen any of Steven Seagals movies for years and I had an urge to see at least his first five movies again. I started off with his fourth movie "Out For Justice" which pretty much follows that sort of classic Seagal action formula. Dodgy acting, simple plotline, bad dialogue and extreme violence. The main focus is revenge and not much else is taken in consideration. The characters are just stereotypical carbon copies and even William Forsythe ends up being too much in the background even if he is the main bad guy. However, that fault is Steven Seagals. The movie was originally much longer and it included more plot and characters. Steven Seagal cut some of William Forsythe's scenes because he felt that Forsythe was upstaging him. Also, editor Michael Eliot re-edited the original cut of the movie. Some scenes were deleted and some others were cut for pacing. This is why there are two montage scenes with no dialogue in the movie. Re-editing also caused some minor continuity mistakes. The structure of the movie is scattered and and it seems like scenes has just been put together. We see some ok known faces like Jerry Orbach, Gina Gershon, Julianna Marguiles, Dominic Chianese and a young John Leguizamo, but that doesnt really lift the movie. Its a Steven Seagal movie, no more no less.
