Not quite the same impact as Social Network, but Michael Keaton does an amazing job in the lead role here. Interesting and informative, even if it didn't happen 100% like what was shown, still worth a watch to see how the most popular fast food chain started and how a billion dollar idea was essentially stolen.
Dominic S (nl) wrote: This film is very pleasant even with its uneasy story. This film is one of the many films that makes me enjoy and appreciate independent films and independent filmmakers. Using B and C list celebrities to act out a simple yet smashing script that packs a punch towards my heart. This film is about a married couple, Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Kate) and Aaron Paul (Charlie), who connect through drinking and getting drunk. But after one interesting night that led to vomiting in front of her class of first graders, Kate decides that it would be best to work on her drinking. She decides to quite drinking all together and she begins to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.Because of this decision Kate is courageously making, her and Charlie's marriage begins to hit a rough patch, now that they don't connect through drinking. This film is so touching and beautiful. It takes a great look at the negative effects of drinking as well as what makes a relationship or a marriage work."Love is the easy part. It's the rest of the shit that's hard." -KateA breakthrough performance by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.Smashed, I give you an 80%.

Listening to the commentary from the director I guess we were to assume that it was a fantasy? Who knows. Ricardo Meneses was a real find for the director and I am so glad he did. What a beauty he is! Wow! And what a beauty the lower member of him is. He could stalk me anytime. Thus the reason for the (3) star rating.

Ben G (de) wrote: This was one of the funniest movies of all time. And though the sequel was decent, The Video Game was absolutely brilliant. I recommend anyone who loved this movie play through both.
Kevin M W (gb) wrote: Although loaded with talent, top heavy with it in fact, this effort is so lackluster as to very nearly offend you with the waste perpetrated before your eyes. How lackluster? Jack Black comes across as a nice guy! (Say what?!?) Yep. If the police asked you to identify this film out of a line-up you will not be able to do it because you won't remember what it looked like.
