Derek K (ca) wrote: It's torture in a box. 1hr and 31 minutes of bad writing, horrible voice-acting and a completely far-fetched scenario---all in a box. Stephen Dorff does his best to make the most of it all, but in the end (literally the ending of the film), it only gets worse.
Gary M S (ca) wrote: This film made me want to find the loneliest planet just for something to do. Godawful slow pacing and weirdo characters I could care less about. Big disappointment. Sometimes these lesser known artsy films surprise--how pretentious they can really be. Minimalism is most usually over done. That's the case here.

Daniel E (fr) wrote: Almost perfect drama, which beautifully balances the story of a film being made about exploitation of the New World with exploitation in the real world. A very engaging drama about politics AND people.

Angela Bettis does a hell of a job behind the camera (movie is very low budget, and it shows... but in a good way) Start with May and then if you like that flick then check out Roman. It is like May, but much darker and less funny.

Peer pressure, the idea of 'rep' forcing one into violence, sh*tty employment propects for uneducated, concrete jungle etc. Loses point for basically copying the plot to Carlito's way but setting it in the UK, (they even killed him at a train station for f*cks sake) but that does'nt mean u should avoid. In fact, I would encourage schools to show this film to the kids becuase it holds a good message. Good acting, nice pacing, raw violence and a not so happy ending, like i said, realistic. Check it out........blud.
