Jamie F (es) wrote: I'm loving the series, but this movie was a little dull because I don't care much about the Pegasus or its unlikable crew members. Probably would've given it lower than 3 stars if the series regulars hadn't been included.

Kurt A (au) wrote: This movie is so negative it's like a walking minus sign. (Actual quote from the movie) It's a Full Moon picture, they try to sell you Puppet Master action figures before the movie.
Matt M (nl) wrote: In spite of it being both a modernisation and a tribute to classic Hollywood musicals with good intentions, and the good performances by De Niro and Minnelli, New York, New York never quite seems to come together and is unaided by an overall uneven script. Perhaps its biggest fault, however, is that it weakens in comparison to other greater works by Scorsese.

Silver Screen S (fr) wrote: The movie is wildly entertaining and Veronica Lake is the most beautiful actress I have ever seen. Sometimes the characters' decisions felt rushed, but that was the only outright flaw in the whole production.

I love this movie and have watched my VHSed-from-TV copy many times. Madeline Khan rules, Cybill's the bomb, Burt Reynolds charmingly cannot sing at all, and Eileen Brennan should have been in every movie. Love it.
Martin F (au) wrote: My friend had a copy of this he downloaded it and we watched it last night with a bunch of people. Overall consensus amongst our group? We all really liked it. The acting was solid for an indie, the movie was well shot, great music and LOTS of zombie deaths. Actually, we got into a conversation about it and (drunkenly) re-watched the movie adding up the number of zombies killed. It was something like 85. That's a lot. But at the same time, they go deep into the story, and it is more like a drama here and there. That's why I liked it. It was a bit different then other zombie films. No big named actors, but whatever. It's a zombie movie.
Kendall C (ag) wrote: This is a great movie, filled with electric performances, slick direction and beautiful cinematography. I think a lot of people went in with the wrong expectations that's why it has such a low user score. I implore you to give it a second glance if you didn't like it upon first watch.
