Dan C (nl) wrote: Shoah's biggest problem is how overwhelming it all is. Over nine hours of stories of the Holocaust is very hard to take, even when spreading watching it out over a week. I couldn't imagine trying to watch this in only one or two days. Yet Shoah's epic length is also one of its strength. Night and Fog (another great Holocaust documentary) is hard to watch and it is only half an hour. Watching Shoah ends up being so hard that you begin to realize what a unique experience watching it is. I'm very glad I saw this but I think it will be awhile before I try to rewatch it.
